It has been a while since we’ve seen the core members of The Elite in their best setting. Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks are the original Elite, and are one of the best trios in all of wrestling, but AEW has quite a trios division growing. One team that stands out amongst the pack in Jurassic Express, with a future star in Jungle Boy amongst their ranks, alongside Luchasaurus & Marko Stunt. They have competed as a trio frequently, unlike The Elite. Would this be instrumental in them getting a huge win?

The Elite Show Some Trios Rust

It’s been six and a half months since The Young Bucks & Kenny Omega had a trios match, and Omega is coming into this one mad after having beer poured on his head. Jungle Boy would start the match with Nick Jackson, with some agile grappling to start the match. Nick would drop Jungle Boy with the spinning back kick, but he’d fail to get the facebuster. Stunt & Omega would enter the match, and Stunt would try to match the Best Bout Machine, but be thrown away with ease every time. It was like that time Omega wrestled a nine year old girl, but Stunt had more training. He’d almost pin Omega with a quick maneuver, but only get the two. Omega was having an off night, and had to get started.

Matt Jackson would tag himself in, and square up with Luchasarus, outmatched in both size & power, being thrown down and kicked in the head. 65 million years of leg day lead to one hard kick. We’d see some trios offense from Jurassic Express, who took complete control of the match, until Omega got in the ring with Luchasarus, sent him to the outside and dived onto him.

Kenny Omega Finally Gets Into The Match

The Elite are only as good as their weak link, and early in the match that was Omega. He’d bring The Elite back into control, and they’d isolate Jungle Boy in the corner all through the commercial break. He would make a comeback when he’d take Nick off the apron with a hurricanrana before trying to behead Omega with a lariat. One swinging DDT to Matt later, and we’d see Luchasarus get back in the ring and clean house. He’d dodge a double superkick and Chokeslam Nick and hit a moonsault.

Omega would come in, and it would resemble a fair fight. A V-Trigger would stun him, and he’d eat a snap dragon. Stunt came off the top rope and was caught with a snap dragon, and Jungle Boy took the final one. Stunt would help them get back into it, being thrown at Omega for a Hurricanrana, followed by Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy hitting Extinction Event for a near fall. It’d break down into a brawl, with Luchasarus going for the hook kick, missing and eating a double superkick before an assisted Tiger Driver ’98.

The Pace Quickens Until The Finish

Stunt & Jungle Boy would work together to take down Nick, with Matt breaking the pin up. Like expected, this one was getting faster and faster. Jurassic Express would stack up for the world’s biggest Canadian Destroyer to Matt, but the pin would be broken up. He’d barely get the tag to Omega, who’d demolish Stunt with heavy strikes before hitting One Winged Angel for the win.

If you like fast chaotic trios action, this is the match for you. When AEW finally adds a trios title, we should see this match again. Omega would keep beating down Stunt after the match, before The Bucks would talk some sense into him. Omega’s dark side is showing, and it could be a sign of things to come.
