AEW Deadly Draw Tournament: Diamante & Ivelisse vs. Dasha & Rachael Ellering

AEW might not be able to fit a women’s match on AEW Dynamite, but we have a second match for the Deadly Draw tournament tonight! This time, we will see the hard hitting duo of Diamante & Ivelisse face off with Dasha & Rachael Ellering. Dasha is of course, the backstage interviewer who was told to make a draw by Madusa herself.

Not many recall that she trained in the WWE performance center, and has had some matches on the indies, meaning this is not her first time in the ring. She has a great partner in the daughter of Paul Ellering, Rachel who was last seen in NXT. Who would walk away with the win and make it to the next round?

Dasha Impresses In Her AEW Debut Match

From the broadcast team to the ring, Dasha was excited to get into the ring and show what she can do. She hasn’t competed since last October, but having someone like Ellering in her corner would boost anyone’s confidence. It was never going to be a walk in the park however.

Dasha would start alongside Ivelisse, and get battered with a back elbow early, but would make a quick comeback hitting an armdrag off the top rope followed by a handspring forearm. Diamante would tag in to face Dasha, and end up facing Ellering instead shortly. She’d drop Diamante with a shoulder tackle, followed with a running elbow strike.

Dasha would tag in again, and a double suplex would be successful, then a cartwheel splash from Dasha would get a near fall. Diamante would take advantage after a knee to the back from Ivelisse, hitting a big lariat to her opponent.

Dasha would now find herself isolated, with Diamante choking her with a boot before Ivelisse suplexed her. A Lotus Lock would be applied, but Dasha pushed her weight back to turn this into a pinfall attempt. This just pissed her opponents off, and she’d be beaten down in their corner.

Rachel Ellering Fails To Make The Save

After watching her partner and good friend be dominated in the ring, Ellering was desperate to get the tag and play the role of savior. A double flapjack would drop Dasha for a two count, but she’d dodge a spin kick after. The powerhouse would clear out the ring, and blister the chest of Ivelisse with huge chops before dropping her with a stiff kick to the head.

Diamante would grab Ellering on the apron, but Ellering would duck before Ivelisse could hit the elbow strike. A running forearm in the corner followed by an STO and a leg drop off the middle rope nearly ended this one, but Diamante saved the match at the last second. Ellering would drop Diamante with a pump kick and tag Dasha in.

Dasha would be kicked in the face, and a wheelbarrow stunner would wipe her out. Ellering would be kicked out of the ring, but Dasha kicked out on her own power. Ivelisse came back in, and the Scorpion Kick would set up the Code Red, ending this one.

Ivelisse & Diamante have more chemistry and more experience in the ring, making them favorites in this one. Despite a strong babyface fire in both Ellering and Dasha, it would not be enough to get them a victory. Will they make it to the finals? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
