For one night only at Double or Nothing 2021, Cody Rhodes will not be The American Nightmare. Instead, as he takes on former olympic level boxer Anthony Ogogo, he will be The American Dream. However, that match happens on Sunday. Tonight is simply the official weigh in, hosted by the world’s largest athlete: Paul Wight!

Anthony Ogogo & Cody Rhodes Weigh In Ahead Of Sunday

Wight would get the crowd hyped up, before letting everyone know there will be no nonsense tonight. Introducing Ogogo first, QT Marshall and the rest of The Factory would join him. Wight would try to threaten Ogogo if he makes a wrong move, forgetting how his fight with Floyd Mayweather went. Cody Rhodes would be next out, surrounded by all his students, his brother, his sister and more. The whole Nightmare Family was here, outnumbering The Factory by about thirty people.

Rhodes would strip down to his underwear, and weigh in at 200lbs. Atleast that was the first guess, but Wight would have to adjust the scale a bit and called it at 218lbs. He didn’t have time to get a digital scale. Ogogo had the union jack on his boxer briefs, and he’d weigh in at 219lbs. They were just about even on weight, but Rhodes is coming in with a massive experience edge. Marshall would interrupt Wight to say that the one pound advantage would be the difference maker.

Hangman Page Gets Bloodied Up By Joey Janela

In a rematch from All In in 2018, we are going to see Janela step into the ring one on one with Hangman Page. Janela has a chance to shoot himself up the ranking in this one, given that Page is a top contender for the AEW World Championship.

Page & Janela would lock up, before Page got a headlock. He’d be shoved off, Janela leapfrogged over him before being taken back down to the mat with a headlock. Janela got free and nailed some chops, before Page was able to get free and nail a suplex for a two count. Page chucked Janela out of the ring, but missed the vaulting body press.

Janela went to the apron to go for a crossbody, but was caught into a fallaway slam on the ground. Back in the ring, they’d trade forearm blows before Janela threw Page into the corner pad. Janela would keep control and manage a two count, even finding some time to play to the crowd.

Page fought back and threw Janela over the top rope, before looking to Deadeye on the apron. Janela fought this off, but took the triangle lariat. Back in the ring, Page wanted the Buckshot, but Janela hit a forearm shot. Page instead dropped Janela with a spinebuster before looking for Deadeye again.

A big boot dropped Janela, before Janela dropped Page with a snap german suplex. The diving elbow drop from the top rope got a two count, before looking for the Death Valley Driver. Page hit some rolling elbows and a pop up powerbomb, before closing out with the buckshot lariat.

A solid match which showed the chemistry of Janela & Page. This was as competitive as Janela has looked in AEW in months, but Page was able to close it out in the end. Page was busted open during the match, adding a bit of drama along the way. Match Rating: 2.5/5 (** 1/2)

Following the match, a bloody Hangman Page would be confronted by Brian Cage ahead of Sunday. Page would ask Cage if he’s the type of man who needs help to beat him. Cage would take the bait, and agreed to have this be a simple one on one match, no Team Taz mucking it up.
