At Double or Nothing, AEW had a major announcement that caught many off guard. This was the signing of WWE Hall of Famer, ‘The World’s Strongest Man’ Mark Henry. He’s set to take a commentary role for AEW Rampage, and perhaps even step into the ring, but tonight we will hear from the man himself if he’s got a lot left in the tank at this point.
Mark Henry Isn’t Denying More Time In The Ring
As per usual, Tony Schiavone would be around to help interview the newcomer. He’d welcome Henry down to the ring. Henry started by saying he’s not here to fix AEW, because it’s not broken. He’s here to help push it further. Schiavone would ask the question on everyone’s mind, and that’s if he’s planning on getting back in the ring.
Right now, he’s not gonna say yes… but he’s got a lot left in the tank. Vickie Guerrero would make her way to the ring and assault everyone’s ears with a classic “EXCUSE ME!”. She is here to introduce someone to the crowd, who is a global champion.
Andrade El Idolo Is Here In AEW
Andrade El Idolo is here. The former WWE superstar is now in AEW, and he’s always claimed to be the new face of Lucha Libre, but now he’s claiming to be the new face of All Elite Wrestling. This is a huge get for AEW, with him as one of the best wrestlers in the world today.
Andrade already has a date set with Kenny Omega in AAA for the AAA Mega Championship later this year, but he could be looking to make trouble for Omega at home in AEW as well. The sky’s the limit for Andrade in a company who is willing to embrace his entire career and skill set, and AEW giving him mic time right out of the gate is a good sign.
