I’m a hardcore wrestling fan, by which I mean I’m a hardcore fan of wrestling... but I also have nothing against hardcore wrestling! I’ve been watching since 2006, back when I was 12 years old. In that time I’ve fervently followed WWE, TNA, ROH, Lucha Underground and others. Today I’m most passionate about NXT, New Japan and especially AEW! You could call me a modern wrestling savant but I know my old school stuff as well... I’ll be your huckleberry all night long.

Week 2 of the Wednesday Night Wars. Gotta say, just speaking personally, I already greatly prefer this to the Monday Night Wars. Both sides pumped out really good shows, with the first half hour of NXT really shining the brightest in terms of sheer action. They may have lost the ratings war but they certainly proved yet again that they can put on a great show. This week, the star power is considerably diminished, but that was to be expected. You can’t bring the house every week or you’d run out of big matches in a hurry. Still, this show…

Last week, I couldn’t do live recaps for AEW Dynamite or the competing NXT episode. This is because I was in DC watching AEW live! Being at a show like that live is always a special occurrence. So it’s natural I think more highly of the show than some. It was an unforgettable occasion being there for the inaugural episode of AEW Dynamite, something I’ll be able to say for the rest of my days. And I certainly wasn’t disappointed by what I saw. Many have said, and rightfully so, that NXT had the better show in terms of ring…

Heya everybody, Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here. Hell In A Cell uh, happened last night. It… really, really happened. That’s the sobering fact I woke up to today. We are now living in the post-Hell In A Cell 2019 age. The immediate fallout happens here tonight on Monday Night Raw, and I’ll be recapping it blow by blow as it happens. Watch this space. Hilariously the opening video package focused only on the Rusev/Lana/Lashley situation from last week instead of anything that happened at the PPV last night. Can also now confirm that both shows have pretty cool new…

Hello all, Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here to give you all the recap goodness on tonight’s PPV, Hell In A Cell! And I’d have probably made a preview of it earlier if not for the fact that, even with about two and a half hours to go as of writing this, we only have four matches announced for the show. That is pretty ridiculous. HIAC landed on a bad night this year, as it’s honestly the fourth most significant US wrestling show of the week. But it really says something that, even then, it could be a landmark…

Here we are then. This episode has been in the making for a long, long time. After much hype and anticipation, SmackDown makes it’s move to Fox and it’s return to Friday nights in about an hour from the initial time of writing. I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer.com back to recap this historic night. Will this finally be the landmark show that turns SmackDown into a flagship brand all it’s own? Stay tuned for history, as I give the blow-by-blow right here on this very page! Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon come out to open the show just…

It should, at this point, go without saying. And yet, it really does just bare repeating. Pro wrestling will never be the same after these next three days. It’s wonderful to be able to say that, for the better. While in the mainstream conscious, pro wrestling might’ve tanked over the past year or so, an undercurrent has been building for years. The success, international expansion and consistency of New Japan. A quality rebound for Impact Wrestling, finally having found an identity after all these years. The acclaimed revival of MLW. Of course, the birth of an in-universe alternative in the…

Sorry, late again, just honestly kinda forgot this was Monday for a while this time. But I am here with some recaption, let’s get to it! At the beginning of the show, Lesnar and Heyman come out as Rey Mysterio is in the ring. Heyman starts to run Rey down when he swipes the microphone away from him. Rey begins to speak in Spanish but he gets about four words in before Lesnar hoists him up for an F-5! Rey’s son Dominik is in the front row and Lesnar is glaring at him from the ring. I don’t really buy…

After a staggering debut last week, it’s time for NXT on USA Episode 2! I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here with a live recap! Let’s get after it! After a video package for last week, we get a shot from behind of the Undisputed Era coming out onto the balcony to start us out! The announce table is set right under this, looking very unique! Keith Lee vs. Dominik Dijakovic God, what a thing to open a show with… “Bask In His Glory” chant as they circle. Tie-up, Dijakovic with a side headlock, short-arm heel kick misses, Lee with…

I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer as always, and we’ve got another night of recap-action known only as recaption here. WWE SmackDown Live! Watch this space! Erick Rowan opens the show, coming out alone once more. Huh. They seem to be using different cameras now, the framerate has changed. Reminds me a bit of Lucha Underground’s filming. Rowan claims that what they’ve seen from him is a work of art. He demands respect, says people like to belittle him and make up names for him. He says Daniel Bryan and the whole SmackDown locker room knows he’s right and that’s…

I’m Jordan Huie and as has become a staple for the Overtimer, I’m here with a live recap of tonight’s edition of Monday Night Raw! After a recap video of the Fiend’s show-ending attack last week plays, WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins opens the show. Seth says that he’s seen a lot in his career but he’s never seen anything like what happened last week. He speaks of having a living nightmare right in his face. And it’s all he can do to just close his eyes and hope it’s a bad dream he’ll wake up from. But it’s not.…
