I’m a hardcore wrestling fan, by which I mean I’m a hardcore fan of wrestling... but I also have nothing against hardcore wrestling! I’ve been watching since 2006, back when I was 12 years old. In that time I’ve fervently followed WWE, TNA, ROH, Lucha Underground and others. Today I’m most passionate about NXT, New Japan and especially AEW! You could call me a modern wrestling savant but I know my old school stuff as well... I’ll be your huckleberry all night long.

WWE Backlash 2020 commences. Sasha Banks and Bayley defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships in a triple threat match featuring the IIconics, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay and the team of Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, aka Bliss-Cross. Backstage Bayley calls the two of them the first and best Women’s tag champs ever and says she can call her Bayley Dos Straps. The interviewer asks if losing the tag titles means losing the friendship. Sasha goes ahead and makes her entrance as Bayley continues talking in a split-screen, berating the interviewer for saying this. She then comes out as…

WWE Backlash 2020 Results below! Links to in-depth recaps! Watch this space! Kickoff: Unfortunately due to laptop issues I missed the recap of this match. Apollo Crews defended his WWE United States Championship against Andrade in a quick-paced and hard hitting bout. The action was quite strong. In the end, Angel Garza attempted to interfere on Andrade’s behalf but luckily Kevin Owens was on commentary and he came up to hit Garza with a stunner. Andrade tried to take advantage of the distraction but got caught with a Toss-up Blue Thunder Bomb, Crews retaining the title. Segment 1: Opening up the main…

WWE Friday Night SmackDown continues. Miz and Morrison with a promo backstage saying hey hey, ho ho, the Universal Champ needs to go and they put on a dramatic music video about it, but before it even gets going, Braun Strowman’s entrance cuts them off. I guess WWE’s production truck just suddenly decided against it at the last minute. He emerges for the main event, which sees him team with Heavy Machinery against Dolph Ziggler, John Morrison and the Miz. We also see another Matt Riddle vignette, though it’s largely identical to what we’ve already seen. Braun Strowman & Heavy…

WWE Friday Night SmackDown continues. We see a replay of the Miz and John Morrison’s pranks on Braun Strowman. We then hear Braun talk about how he can replace his windshields but there won’t be any way of fixing what he does to Miz and Morrison at Backlash.
