Dangerous Tekkers came into the match after gaining the fall over the Bullet Club team of Evil/Yujiro on November 28th, while FinJuice did the same against the Los Ingobernables de Japon (LIJ) team of Sanada/Shingo Takagi on the same night.
The third series match of the event saw reigning IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions and Suzuki-Gun members Dangerous Tekkers (Zack Sabre Jr/Taichi) take over the Bullet Club tandem of Evil/Yujiro. Both teams came into the match with a (3-2) record, presenting a swing opportunity for each, with the champions needing a victory to keep pace with the top of the table.
The headline series match of the event saw reigning IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions and Suzuki-Gun members Dangerous Tekkers (Zack Sabre Jr/Taichi) wrestle the Empire team of Jeff Cobb/Great-O-Khan. Coming into the match Dangerous Tekkers dropped the fall to former six-time IWGP Heavyweight Champions and Bullet Club members Guerillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga/Tanga Loa) on November 22nd, while Cobb/O-Khan defeated former IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions and WTL 2019 winners FinJuice (Juice Robinson/David Finlay).
The marquee series match of the event saw reigning IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions and Suzuki-Gun members Dangerous Tekkers (Zack Sabre Jr/Taichi) take on former six-time IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions and Bullet Club members Guerillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga/Tanga Loa) [G.O.D.].

The marquee tournament match of the event saw reigning IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions and Suzuki-Gun members Dangerous Tekkers (Zack Sabre Jr/Taichi) take on HenarACE (Hiroshi Tanahashi/Toa Henare). HenarACE was coming off being blitzed by the Empire team of Jeff Cobb/Great-O-Kharn on the opening day of the tournament, thrown off by Cobb being O-Kharn’s mystery partner.
The fifth match of the event and the third WTL 2020 match saw reigning IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions and Suzuki-Gun members Dangerous Tekkers (Zack Sabre Jr/Taichi) take on two-thirds of the reigning NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champions and CHAOS members Hirooki Goto/Yoshi-Hashi.
Reigning IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions and Suzuki-Gun members Dangerous Tekkers (Zack Sabre Jr/Taichi) come into World Tag League 2020 (WTL 2020) with a lot of momentum behind them. Despite Dangerous Tekkers performing well during WTL 2018 & WTL 2019, their ascension to IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions came as a surprise to many New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) fans in the west.
