All Elite Wrestling brings us another episode of AEW Dark tonight. Below, you can see the results from the show, plus links to in-depth recaps of every match.
Segment 1: In the opening contest, Colt Cabana made his singles match debut against the Librarian Peter Avalon. It was a pure showcase for him as he put on a clinic with very little in the way of resistance, simultaneously showing off his technical skill whilst also making a mockery of the Librarians. Though, admittedly, that’s not the hardest thing to do… the ending saw him get them wrapped up in a romantic pose, which froze the two of them long enough for Cabana to take Avalon by surprise and get him with the Superman Pin.
Segment 2: The second bout saw Michael Nakazawa and Brandon Cutler team up against the Hybrid-2, Jack Evans and Angelico. Nak’s Turkish baby oil got him out of a few tricky situations but the story of the match was Brandon Cutler’s continued pattern of explosive bouts of offense, leading to him juuuust barely missing out on that first AEW victory. In the end, a miscommunication saw a bunch of oil spat into Cutler’s face, leading to TH2 finishing off Nakazawa and getting the win.
Segment 3: Former AEW Women’s World Champion Riho came out for her first singles match since losing the gold in a bout with Penelope Ford. It was a pretty well worked match and Riho managed to thwart the interference from Kip Sabian, but in the end it was a little too much and Ford ended up getting the major upset win with a handspring cutter and a Fisherwoman’s Suplex.
Segment 4: In the main event, step one of Christopher Daniels’ quest to expose the Exalted One as a fraud, he took on the Dark Order’s Stu Grayson in a singles match. It was quite the back and forth encounter, thankfully totally one-on-one for the bulk of it thanks to the referee ejecting everyone from ringside. But a Creeper did sneak in onto the apron to try and distract Daniels. But the wily veteran managed to combat this and, when Grayson did try to take advantage, Daniels countered the Nightfall into a beautiful cradle for the victory!
