Everyone loves a good tournament, and NXT UK is looking to provide just that with the Heritage Cup. It will see British Rounds rules be brought to the spotlight in NXT UK, and we know seven of the eight men who will make up this tournament. Those are Noam Dar, A-Kid, Trent Seven, Alexander Wolfe, Joseph Connors, Dave Mastiff, and Flash Morgan Webster. Here to help announce the bracket is former NXT UK Champion, Pete Dunne.
Every man announced, and the wildcard were assigned a number, and those names would be pulled from a bag to decide the matches. Here to do that is the longest reigning NXT UK Champion of all time, Pete Dunne. He made his name in the initial NXT UK Championship Tournaments, and really helped build this brand, and he wants these men to help the build the future of the brand.
The Bracket Is Drawn With The Help Of Pete Dunne
First number pulled was #3, Joseph Connors, who will take on #1, Dave Mastiff. Can’t help but feel a bit bad for him, as Mastiff has been near unstoppable, only falling to a handful of very dedicated members of the roster. This could be a match which makes Connors in WWE, as he’s coasted thus far, but his time in WCPW showed he’s a potential top star.
The next match would be between #4, who is the Wildcard, and #7, Trent Seven. We don’t know who the Wildcard is yet, meaning Seven will have much less time to prepare for his match, but he’s an experienced veteran who can adapt on the fly, giving him a better chance than anyone else in the tournament if they ended up in his shoes.
#5, Flash Morgan Webster would be placed against #8, A-Kid. These are two of the fastest men in all of NXT UK, and are both technically gifted as well. You won’t want to blink these two meet, as that match will have a frantic pace for sure.
The Tournament Starts Next Week
This only left two men, meaning Noam Dar would face Alexander Wolfe of Imperium. Wolfe is a serious test for anyone, but Dar has consistently proven that you can’t overlook him in NXT UK. Dar would actually try to get a cheap shot on Wolfe, but Dunne stopped him, snapped the fingers and threw him out of the ring.
This tournament will start next week with this final match, and Pete Dunne is the guest referee. The tournament is set to be a classic. Who will go all the way and claim the Heritage Cup? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
