Hello and welcome to OVW TV 1120 Recap!
This looks like it’s going to be a fun show after last week’s miscommunication between Jesse Godderz, Tony Gunn, and the Legacy of Brutality, so let’s get to the action.
Josh Ashcraft started the show off by addressing Godderz and Gunn by saying te LOB didn’t need their help and they cost them some gold.
“The Indian Lion” Mahabali Shera defeated Heath Hatton by pinfall
Hatton started it off by slapping Shera, and he quickly paid the price with a couple of clotheslines and suplex.
Hatton put up a fight, but Shera hit with a pop up powerbomb for the win.
The Good Word With Reverend Ronnie Roberts
He started off by saying he’s asked what denomination he is, he answered that he’s in the Divine Economic Spirituality. He added that money is the root of all evil, but it serves good in this world and belongs in his pocket.
He introduced former OVW champion everything Dimes.
Once in the ring, Roberts welcomed him to the Good Word and said with the name od Dimes, he brought something for the collection plate.
Dimes pointed out he can tell Roberts needs money as he’s skinny and promoted himself as being Big Money and not Little Money.
Roberts brought out the collection plate and told Dimes to keep his hands off it.
Dimes went on how he’s 7 feet tall and 300 pounds (half that is about right) and Roberts told him he’s 7 feet of crap and didn’t know they stacked crap that high.
Dimes lost his mind as he said OVW needs more super heavyweights like him. Roberts said he may have overestimated his size.
Roberts asked if he’s willing to take on anyone, and Dimes said they have to be big enough. They have to be 7 feet tall and 300 pounds.
Dimes announced that next week he’s holding a Super Heavyweight Open Challenge. This is going to be good.
Strike one for Godderz
Backstage, Godderz and Gunn found Omar Amir and Godderz told him LOB stole Reverend Ronnie’s collection plate, but made sure not to say he heard it from him.
Godderz then offered that the three of them could put them in their place, but Amir saw through it and said absolutely not and walked away.
Godderz said he has another idea and Gunn told him he’s batting 1000.
Ashcraft’s headache
Calle welcomed Josh Ashcraft by asking him if he’s there for snot yoga, and while he was busy his crowbar was stolen.
He said he wants the women’s championship, and she told him that he should just steal it.
Gustavo and William Lutz defeated Delicious Van Vicious and Star Rider by pinfall
Lutz’s unorthodox style kept Vicious and Star Rider on their heels, and Gustavo was impressive as always with his athleticism.
Vicious and Star Rider made it a good match as their clashing personalities seemed to work enough for them to hit a couple of good double teams.
Lutz hit a Mishinuku Driver and a moonsault off the top rope on Vicious for the win.
Backstage, Omar Amir found his best friend, KTD, unconscious and Ashcraft’s crowbar next to him.
Dustin Jackson defeated Luscious Lawrence w/Hollywood Haley J by pinfall
In what OVW TV 1120 Recap thinks was arguably the match of the night, Lawrence attacked Jackson before the match started, but Jackson turned the tables when the bell rang.
Haley J made her presence known by locking in a leg scissors to choke out Jackson while Lawrence distracted the referee.
Joseline Navarro chased Haley J out of the arena, and Jackson hit a Claymore type of kick for the win.
After the match, Navarro challenged Haley J to a street fight at Tough Love on February 6.
Godderz finally got it right
Godderz and Gunn counted down to Godderz idea working, and Amir came up to them with the crowbar and said he’s in.
The Gravity Destroyers (AJ Daniels and Isaiah Broner) defeated The Tate Twins (Brandon and Brent Tate) by pinfall
This was a fun match as both teams are high flyers while the Gravity Destroyers have the size advantage.
Looked like Broner was injured after hitting the mat head first, but after a brief rest he hit a standing F-5 for the win, putting them in the talks of the tag title chase.
After the match, Daniels pointed out they’re next in line for the OVW Tag Team Championship, and Broner said it doesn’t matter who’s in front of them as they’ll dominate and it’s their time.
This will be a great match when it happens, possibly at Tough Love this weekend?
