Ring Of Honor Results: The OGK (Mike Bennett & Matt Taven) vs. The Bouncers (Beer City Bruiser & Brawler Milonas)

Since reuniting in Ring of Honor, Matt Taven & Mike Bennett have been stuck in a war with Bateman & Vincent of The Righteous. That one is over for now, as ROH officials have banned Taven & Vincent from touching each other during events, leaving the OGK to focus on climbing the tag team ladder. Tonight, this starts with The Bouncers. These are four good friends, so we can expect honor in this match.

Mike Bennett Hurts His Ankle, The Bouncers Take Advantage

Bennett would start with Milonas, and be thrown right onto that previously injured ankle. Some forearms didn’t do much than stagger Milonas, and shoulder tackles did even less. Taven would tag in, and OGK hit a double dropkick, sending Milonas to the outside, but Bruiser shielded his partner from further damage. All four men entered the ring, and this one risked becoming an all out brawl.

Taven would be shoved into the corner, and Bruiser tagged in to hit a dropkick while Milonas held Taven for a sidewalk slam. Bruiser countered the Climax twice, before Taven got an enziguri and tagged Bennett back into the match. Bennett was able to hit some fast chops before taking a huge crossbody block from Bruiser.

Milonas came back in, and Bennett had to tag Taven into the match to deal with the super heavyweight. Taven hit a dropkick, and Bennett kneeled behind Milonas to trip him down. This was good for a two count, and Taven would apply the Figure Four and let Bennett get some stomps. A leapfrog over Milonas saw Bennett land awkward on that ankle, but the superkick from Taven landed flush.

Matt Taven Tries To Be The Difference Maker For OGK

Beer City Bruiser all but knocked out Taven, assaulted the angle of Bennett with a single leg DDT, before tagging himself into the match. Milonas was not approving of the aggression, but it will be needed if they want to become champions. Bennett was crushed in the corner as a commercial break came and went, but he was still hopelessly isolated.

He’d manage to get them over the top rope, and it was up to former ROH World Champion Matt Taven to bring this one back. Some dives over the top rope dropped The Bouncers, before Bruiser took the big frog splash, Milonas breaking the pin up. Taven hit him with the DDT, and Bruiser with the russian leg sweep. He’d look for the Trend Setter, but instead take a Samoan Drop. Milonas hit a big slam, and Bennett broke the pin up.

OGK would use a series of strikes to stun Milonas, before he just shoved them off. Taven hopped on his back, Bennett hit a superkick, but Milonas just landed on Taven for a two count. Bruiser got legal, and they set up Closing Time. The Superplex hit, but the splash missed. Taven locked in the Trend Setter, and forced Bruiser to tap out.

Should Mike Bennett have been cleared for this match?Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
