Hello and welcome to WWE Raw Results!
This looks like it’s going to be a fun episode as there are plenty of new storylines to get going as well as some fun matches, so let’s sit back and enjoy.
Seamus’ betrayal
Drew McIntyre started the show off by heading to the ring fresh off his title defense against Goldberg at the Royal Rumble.
He promised they’d take it up a notch tonight as we’re officially on the road to WrestleMania.
He went on about how awesome the pay-per-view, including his finisher fest against Goldberg. Guess it’s up to him to tell us what happened and not the commentators.
When he got to the men’s Royal Rumble match, Edge’s music started and he came out.
Once Edge made it to the ring, McIntyre said he was about to get to him and asked for a minute, then explained how he looked up to Edge and how he was there when he retired.
He said he’s happy and proud of Edge coming back from another injury to win the Royal Rumble.
Edge said he appreciated the compliments but he had to be blunt and asked mcInytre what’s wrong with him.
He pointed out he won the Rumble and can challenge him for the WWE Championship, and instead of kicking his head off he’s showering him with compliments.
McIntyre said that’s not him, and Edge said he’s right, McIntyre’s not him.
Sheamus then came out and called Edge out for not being flattered and added that he’s not happy about how Edge was disrespecting McIntyre.
He said McIntyre may want to take the high road, but he doesn’t and asked Edge who he was.
McIntyre told Sheamus he appreciates his enthusiasm but he’s got this, and asked Edge if he’ll make a decision or does McIntyre have to make it for him.
Edge told McIntyre he’s playing a dangerous game and he’ll know when Edge makes his decision, and when he walks out of WrestleMania as champion, but he didn’t say which championship.
After Edge left and McIntyre turned around, Sheamus hit him with a Brogue Kick, then left the ring.
Looks like McIntyre has an official challenger. About time the WWE gave us this one.
Backstage, Sheamus was asked why he attacked McIntyre and he said everyone knows him as Drew McIntyre’s friend.
He added that they are no longer friends and he wants the WWE Championship.
United States Championship – Bobby Lashley w/MVP (c) vs. Riddle
This should be an interesting match after Lashley dominated the last two, and it got off to a fast start when Riddle attacked Lashley from behind again.
Riddle landed some blows before Lashley shoved him back. Riddle came right at him again and they exchanged blocks before Lashley dropped him with a knee to the midsection and elbow to the neck.
Riddle caught Lashley coming off the ropes with a forearm, then landed several more strikes and kicks.
Lashley grabbed Riddle and slammed him to the mat and pounded on him, and then hit a stalling suplex slam.
Lashley ran into a leg scissors and Riddles pulled him over the top rope to the floor. Riddle then hit s kick on the apron, and followed it with a Floating Bro.
Riddle threw Lashley into the ring, and Lashley locked in the Hurt Lock along the ropes with Riddle still on the apron.
Riddle tapped out again, but the referee disqualified Lashley.
Lashley headed to the floor and slapped the Hurt Lock on Riddle again despite MVP telling him Riddle was done.
Lashley threw Riddle to the side and MVP asked him if he wants to go to jail for killing the man.
And Lashley locked in the Hurt Lock again and threw Riddle over the barricade. Lashley’s totally snapped and he even yelled at MVP, but MVP looked gleeful as he followed Lashley up the ramp.
Backstage, Bad Bunny arrived in style and headed into the facility.
Back from commercial and officials were helping Riddle to his feet, but he didn’t remember what happened or who he was wrestling.
WWE Raw Results are curious how much longer they intend to keep this feud going as this should end it. At least, we hope so.
