Ring Of Honor Results: Dak Draper vs. Fred Yehi [Pure Rules Match]

Right now, Dak Draper is the top ranked man on the Pure Rules rankings, and tonight he puts that on the line as he faces an unranked man in Fred Yehi. Yehi lost his last three singles matches, and is shooting high tonight as he faces Draper. If he wins, he will sky-rocket up the rankings, but it’s not like he has much to lose where he’s unranked.

Fred Yehi Starts To Cut Draper Down

Seeing Yehi next to Draper highlights just how big Draper is. They’d lock up after a shake of hands, with Draper blocking a single leg takedown. These are two experienced amateur wrestlers, putting them on even footing on the mat. Yehi would take Draper down for a one count, before he’d be slammed into the mat.

Draper would have to kick out again after Yehi got a small package, before blocking another single leg takedown. Atleast, that’s what he thought happened, but Yehi won out on the mat and grabbed a sleeper hold. Draper fought to his feet and shoved Yehi into the corner, and nailed some knife edge chops before throwing him across the ring.

Yehi was hit with a knee drop to the face, before being picked up with Draper looking for a suplex, but being taken down into headlock. Draper slipped free but took a spinning chop before some pendulum knees in the corner. More heavy chops nailed Draper, before he’d look for a German Suplex. Draper would manhandle Yehi and throw him aside, as we hit a commercial break.

Dak Draper Could Be Unstoppable

Back from the break, Draper was still in control but Yehi countered a neckbreaker into a backslide. Yehi was persistent with some pinfall attempts, but was unable to pin Draper. Draper nailed a powerslam, but was too winded to get the pinfall.

Yehi countered a big boot and stomped the foot of Draper, quickly taking him down and hitting a low sliding dropkick to the face. He’d look for the Koji Clutch, but Draper put the jaw to the mat and prevented the hold. Yehi threw some heavy strikes, before Draper used his one legal closed fist in the match. Draper followed up with a big lariat, and the Magnum KO for the win.
