PAC & Rey Fenix earned their shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships at AEW Revolution, when they won the Casino Battle Royale. They are one of the deadliest teams in AEW, anyone can tell just by looking at the men involved, but tonight we will see them truly put to the test. The Young Bucks are finally back to their evil ways after rejoining Kenny Omega and being under Don Callis’s influence as well. This could make them one of the hardest teams in the world to beat, as now they will do anything to win.
Starting Up A Tag Team Epic
Don Callis was in the corner of Young Bucks, and they’d have a new look as well. Matt started up with PAC, and was driven into the corner. PAC would out-maneuver Matt and force him into the wrong corner. Matt would be allowed to go tag in Nick, and Fenix would meet him.
Fenix would end up in a stalemate with Nick as they went for big blows, but were nearly evenly matched. Only when Nick just went for a lariat instead of getting fancy did he get the edge. Fenix was almost hit with a double team powerbomb, but countered into a hurricanrana. PAC & Fenix would hit dives to the outside, before isolating Matt in their corner.
Matt was sandwiched with dropkicks, getting a two count. Fenix went for a springboard armdrag, and was just yanked down by Nick, who hit a facebuster for a two count before a double dropkick from The Bucks. They were playing to the camera more than trying to win, dragging this one out.
Fenix countered a double hip toss into a big armdrag, and was able to tag in PAC. PAC nailed a snappy brainbuster on Matt, before retaking control and starting to cut the ring in half. Some mid-kicks would be launched, but PAC would get tripped and drawn outside by Nick, before Matt hit a wrecking ball dropkick.
Rey Fenix Is Insane
Fenix rushed in, but was hit with a powerbomb to the apron alongside his partner. A rising knee strike to PAC in the corner, before a handspring back rake. Matt was toying with PAC, and applied a side headlock before PAC got up and hit some forearm shots, before being choked in the corner.
PAC hit a solebutt, before being thrown into a gamiguri by Nick. He dodged a double superkick, and sent both men to the outside, but Fenix was yanked off the apron before PAC could complete the tag. Matt slammed him down, and was mocking PAC. PAC turned him inside out with a lariat, and Fenix got the tag alongside Nick.
Fenix got Nick stuck up on the top rope, grabbed Matt and took him down with an armdrag while Nick took a hurricanrana. A double cutter from Fenix and a Blue Thunder Bomb from PAC still wasn’t enough to drop him. PAC launched some suplexes, and Fenix took out Nick on the outside. Black Arrow was interrupted, and PAC was taken out with a superkick before Fenix took a destroyer from Nick.
The Young Bucks Sold All Their Honor
PAC stood and fought with Matt, before being dumped to the apron. Matt met him there, and both men were pulled down. Nick & Fenix stared each other down and hit reverseranas on the floor, before Fenix was sent over the barricade and hit with a superkick, only for him to pop back over with a cutter. Matt was set up on the top rope, and took down with a superplex from PAC.
Fenix hit the frog splash, but Matt still kicked out. Black Arrow landed but Nick was able to shove Fenix in to break the pin. Nick tagged in, but took a boot from PAC before countering a German Supex with a low block. Fenix tagged in, took a superkick and had his mask ripped off before taking a double superkick. This was a dirty win, but The Young Bucks win all the same.
