Sometimes in WWE, winning the championships is the easy part. Pretty Deadly certainly didn’t have an easy time knocking off Gallus to get them, but now they are the targets of a strong tag team division who all want those NXT UK Tag Team Championships.
First up are Amir Jordan & Kenny Williams, who have been torn on how to win their matches, with Williams liking some cheap tactics since his return from injury. Will they get on the same page and win gold tonight? Or will Lewis Howley & Sam Stoker remain champions?
Amir Jordan & Kenny Williams Have Their Biggest Tag Team Match Yet
Howley would start with Jordan, grabbed a wrist lock, yanked the arm and tagged to Stoker. Stoker hit a shoulder tackle, before an elbow butt to the back of the neck. Jordan hit two dropkicks and got a backslide pin attempt. Stoker was in the wrong corner of the ring after this, so he slipped outside and went back to his corner.
Howley & Williams got tags, and Howley got the wrist lock and took Williams down to the mat. Williams tried to break free, but Howley had the height advantage which helped him keep the wrist lock. Howley was tripped up unexpectedly by Williams, who started to work over the leg.
Williams failed to maintain control, and was hit with a big hip toss before Stoker tagged in. Stoker was taken over with an arm drag, before Williams tagged in Jordan. Jordan kept the pressure on the arm and got an arm wrench, tagged in Williams who came down on the arm with an elbow.
Quick tags and focus on a limb didn’t last, as it took Stoker one move to get to his corner and tag in Howley. Jordan hit a double dropkick and sent Howley over the top rope, as Williams took out Stoker on the other side of the ring. Pretty Deadly regrouped on the outside, and reset the pace of the match.
Back in the ring, Howley was taken down with a crossbody, but Howley got a tag from Stoker without Jordan realizing. Howley ran outside, Jordan followed and he was run down with a lariat. Back in the ring, Jordan was put in a front headlock, as Pretty Deadly settled into control.
Pretty Deadly Are Here To Stay
Jordan was hit with a double shoulder tackle, before being hit with a splash and leg drop from Pretty Deadly. A headlock was applied, but Jordan broke free and hit a neckbreaker. Stoker quickly made a tag to Howley, showing why he’s a champion. Jordan fight off Howley, but by the time he had him down, Stoker was back and kept control.
Howley missed a knee drop in the corner, but Stoker got the tag. Jordan slipped across the ring past the champions to get the tag to Williams. Williams exploded into the ring and took out both halves of Pretty Deadly out of the ring, before nailing dives. Stoker was sent back in, but countered a crossbody into a powerbomb attempt, but Williams got the hurricanrana instead.
Howley made the save at two, before being sent outside. Williams & Jordan both got kicked in the face, before Pretty Deadly hit Crossing Swords to take down both opponents. Williams hit a facebuster to set up a senton bomb from Jordan. Howley was hit with the swinging DDT, but was able to kick out at two.
Stoker got a tag and so did Jordan, but he’d be hit with a snap DDT quickly. The referee went down in the coming clash, and Williams grabbed a title belt. But Jordan disagreed that they didn’t need to cheat, but Williams just decided to hit Jordan instead, and give up on this tag team. Pretty Deadly hit Spilled Milk, and are still champions.
