At Ring Of Honor’s latest PPV event Best in the World, Bandido shocked the world. He was able to defeat the dominant ROH World Champion RUSH with a roll up, after RUSH had tried to rip the mask of Bandido open. After the match, RUSH & the rest of La Faccion Ingornable would beat Bandido down, but the result remains the same and Bandido is now champion. He will be able to show more fans why he’s champion at Glory By Honor, as he enters two major matches.
Bandido Defends The ROH World Championship Against Flip Gordon On Night One
On the first night of this two night event, a long standing title shot will finally be used. Back before the pandemic shutdown, at ROH Free Enterprise, Flip Gordon won a Battle Royale to earn a shot at the ROH World Championship. He would never use it to challenge RUSH, but the moment Bandido became champion, he decided to cash in.
This is because in ROH, Bandido has never defeated Flip Gordon. They have wrestled twice, and Gordon has won both times. Gordon & Bandido are fairly equal in terms of skill set, which will make this an incredible match; regardless of fan opinion on Gordon. Again, this match comes in the main event of Night One.
Teaming With Rey Horus To Face RUSH & Dragon Lee On Night Two
Bandido will then also be in action on the second night of action, and will be coming face to face with RUSH in tag team action. RUSH will team with his brother and stable mate, Dragon Lee. Bandido will be backed up by Rey Horus, and that line up of names in a single match is insane. This has the potential to be the best tag team match ROH runs this year, and should hit that mark.
The only other match currently announced for the Glory by Honor events is Matt Taven vs. Vincent in a Steel Cage match. That will be the main event the second night, given the feud ending potential of the match, and that the winner also gets a shot at the ROH World Championship.
