Originally set to be a tag team match with The Briscoes taking on Demonic Flamita & Flip Gordon, this one was changed due to Jay Briscoe failing COVID-19 screening. Mark Briscoe went solo last night and defeated Bateman, before being brutalized by Dutch. However tonight, he teams up with Brian Johnson who just wanted to be booked in his hometown. He also gets a chance to redeem a loss to EC3 last night.
Brian Johnson Steps Up In His Hometown
Johnson would be hyped up on his hometurf, and tear his opponents down with fire in his eyes. Briscoe would start with Flamita, and they started fast with shoulder tackles, Briscoe winning out. A rake to the eyes from Flamita was followed by a suplex attempt, but Briscoe countered into a roll up. Johnson tagged while Gordon refused to get into the ring, and Flamita would fall to a springboard headbutt.
Flamita would forcefully tag in Gordon, who went after the broken hand of Johnson before hitting a back elbow. The knife edge chop got Johnson clear for a tag and Briscoe hit a dropkick to the outside before Flamita hit the moonsault. Flamita nailed Flava Flame on the floor, taking Johnson out. He’d be right in to fight Briscoe with a superkick, before taking a suplex.
Mark Briscoe Has To Do It Alone
Briscoe would chop Flamita down before driving Gordon off the apron, and nailing a Gutwrench Suplex on Flamita. Gordon ran a distraction and Flamita hit a huge spear. Some quick tags were made to grind down Briscoe, who tried to fight out with chops and hit an Iconoclasm. Johnson was dying for a tag, and got it alongside Gordon. An ear clap and diving forearm, before going up top with a lariat.
The Mecca Locomotive would run Gordon down, before a big fist drop to the face. Briscoe got a tag and would drive Gordon into the corner, to beat him down with some hard chops and wiped him out with a huge lariat. Johnson made the save as Flamita rushed the ring, showing good teamwork with Briscoe. Gordon shoved Briscoe into Johnson, who lost his head over this and left the match.
Briscoe would be nailed with a DDT for a two count, before Flamita went for a 450 Splash, and instead gave the crowd a one finger salute. Gordon put a chair in the ring, but Flamita didn’t like this and slapped Gordon in the face for a tag. A ‘Fuck You Flip” chant broke out and turned into glee as Briscoe nailed the J-Driller onto the chair for the win.
An odd but fun tag team encounter, which showed Mark Briscoe as a tag team specialist, Johnson as a hometown hero, and Gordon & Flamita as two very different breeds of heel. A lot of styles at play but a lot of great action as a result. Match Rating: 3/5 (***)
Flip Gordon would get some help after the bell, suffering a potential injury in the finish of the match. His fingers are moving at least, and he’s going to get the help he needs to get to the back. Will Flip Gordon be out of action? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.

I was there for this. Flip didn’t land good. The finish seemed rushed and because a chair was involved he landed too soon on the point of his head. He walked out with help but I was concerned for him.
