HBO watchers went crazy this morning when the new trailer for The House of the Dragons was revealed. If you were a diehard Game of Thrones fan, your day was made when the trailer hit social media and YouTube.
Fans have been sharing it nonstop as they are beyond excited about the show. The idea for this show was announced two years ago and fans were really anxious to see what it would. Now, it is here, or at least the trailer is.
The Family of Dragons
This show will completely focus on the Targaryen family and it takes place 200 years before the fall of the throne. It was adapted from the books from George RR Martin and the magic and mystery are all here, once again.
The House of the Dragon Trailer Revealed
HBO has been working hard to keep fans of GOT hooked on the network and we have waited so long for this one. It looks as if the show will premiere in 2022 and we are just patiently waiting for it!
The trailer shows us the connections of the royal family with dragons, sword fights, romance, and secrets. One of the major quotes in the trailer is “Dreams didn’t make us, dragons did.” This quote begins the mystery of the dragons and just what this show will hold for us all. The chills are multiplying and there are some serious fans out there who can’t wait!
From the trailer, we can see King Viserys Targaryen, who is played by Paddy Considine, Westeros’ king, father to princes Rhaenyra, played by Emma D’Arcy, and brother to prince Daemon Targaryen, played by none other than Matt Smith from Dr. Who!
When we look at the book, Fire & Blood, Martin wrote that Raenyra, who is Visery’s first child, was groomed to be the first queen in Westeros. She was a dragon rider too! The book talks about her rule and the challenges that she would face by being the queen.
The trailer doesn’t show us that much yet, but as the time gets closer to the day, we will begin to see more trailers and soon, the premiere of the show! With all of the hoopla from fans, we will continue to follow HBO for updates and new trailers.
If you are a diehard Game of Thrones fan, you won’t have to wait too much longer for the premiere of the House of the Dragon. Keep your eyes on HBO for more.
