A spokesperson made a statement on Tuesday, November 30 to announce the indefinite suspension and firing of the Journalist Chris Cuomo. This firing comes on the heels of the alleged advice that Chris provided to his brother, Andrew Cuomo.

Former New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo, who resigned in August has sexual harassment allegations against him by a number of women. He apologized for his actions, stating that they were done unintentionally and that none meant sexual harassment.
CNN Indefinitely Suspends Journalist, Chris Cuomo
Chris had been working with CNN since 2013. He has since then become quite a big shot in the industry. Despite having the Former Governor on the show in the past months, they veered away from discussing the sexual harassment allegations levied against him. Officials then revealed that Chris used media sources to get dirt on women that were accusing his Brother.
Chris had previously made a statement about the claims of him providing advice to his Brother, “There are stories out there about me offering my brother advice. Of course, I do. This is no revelation. I have said it publicly, and I certainly have never hidden it.”
He said on his show “I can be objective about just about any topic, but not about my family.” He made this statement in May. He then apologized to CNN but was still adamant about helping his brother claiming that he “knows where the line is.

He also stated that “being a journalist and a brother to a politician is a unique challenge” and that he has a “unique responsibility to balance those roles. After his brother’s resignation, Chris addressed the situation on-air saying, “I can’t be objective when it comes to my family, so I never reported on the scandal” He said.
On Monday, November 29, some text messages were published by New York’s Attorney General, Letitia James, Chris had texted His Brother’s aide-Melissa DeRosa.
“Please, let me help with prep” and also when she asked that he used his media connections to find out information about a certain woman, one of the accusers, he replied “on it” and he followed up with a message that stated he had a lead. A day after this was published, CNN issued his suspension.
