George Cacioppo, who happened to be a senior executive for Sony, has been fired after a group of activists operating a YouTube channel had gathered evidence that he was attempting to meet an underage teenage boy.

The Youtube channel in question, People v. Preds, is not the biggest of channels out there, but this has shown the power that activists can have in holding people to account.
Accordingly, the channel has around 25,000 subscribers. But they managed to pool all their resources together and expose George.
It is claimed that they had been engaging in a conversation with George, which had allegedly proved that he was going to meet a boy in the afternoon knowing that the said boy was underage.
In the video here, the defendant goes by the name Jeff, has been exposed by a vigilante who demands that they want to have a conversation with him.
The culprit is not so keen to talk with them, which is why he closes the door, after which the activist loses his cool. He responds by stating the following: “You want me to call the cops? All right, I’ll call the cops!”
“You invited over a 15-year-old kid tonight to have sex!” The response on social media was one of outrage and anger towards the defendant. People rightly praised the action that had been taken, given that it has made the neighbourhood a whole lot safer.
In addition, this will also contribute to online safety as any other people, who would otherwise be lulled into a false sense of security, could be aware of the signs of a potential predator.
That is why people rightly called for George to receive the highest punishment. One person on Twitter wrote: “Fired?? He should be charged and required to register.”
While another stated: “When y’all learn how many people in the industry are pedos like this, y’all will stop being shocked. Lol.”
This is surely not the last of it, as there is a high chance that a police investigation will be conducted as a result. And on reflection, things are not looking good for George.
