At AEW Revolution, Jurassic Express will defend their AEW World Tag Team Championships in a triple threat match. We will find out who the first challenger is tonight. A tag team battle royale will see the bulk of the tag team roster hit the ring, with only one team who will be left standing, and punching their ticket to AEW Revolution.
Punch Their Ticket To AEW Revolution
Ten teams would flood the ring, before The Butcher & The Blade yanked Best Friends to the outside. Alex Reynolds hit a dive through the ropes onto Blade, before getting back in the ring. Reynolds was out, but John Silver remained and took The Blade out. Both halves of a team must be thrown out to fully remove a team.
Ortiz would trew Austin Gunn out and Santana got Colton Gunn out – removing Gunn Club. Nine teams left as 2point0 gave Ortiz a taste, before The Young Bucks took a double lariat from The Butcher. reDRagon would take the double lariat next, before Butcher blocked a DDT from Trent with a jackhammer. Trent would have on over the ropes before working with Chuck Taylor to take out The Butcher – fully removing Butcher & The Blade.
reDRagon caught Taylor on the apron and took him out of the match. Marq Quen was thrown out of the ring and Isiah Kassidy quickly followed – fully removing Private Party. John Silver got a taste from 2point0, before Santana took out both members. The Young Bucks took out Ortiz, and John Silver took Big Rig. FTR & Young Bucks had a stand off before reDRagon hit FTR from behind.
FTR chucked Nick Jackson out of the match, and reDRagon suplexed Trent before OC made the save from elimination. Kyle O’Reilly got tossed before Bobby Fish was sent out the match. John Silver would fight both halves of FTR – before Tully Blanchard tried to help with an elimination. Instead, Cash Wheeler was taken out.
Trent & Santana fought to the apron, where Matt Jackson & O’Reilly took them out. Bobby Fish kicked Harwood off the apron as O’Reilly fought, before Jackson & O’Reilly hit Chasing The Dragon. Jackson threw Silver out, and O’Reilly got Jackson out – meaning reDRagon had a title shot.
It’s Time For
Following this, reDRagon would be confronted by Young Bucks, and Hangman Page hit the ring. Page was blindsided last week by reDRagon – and he’d get some revenge tonight. Adam Cole hit the ring but the superkick was blocked. Page would beat down Cole, and The Young Bucks did nothing to help either reDRagon or Cole.
The Buckshot was set for Cole, but reDRagon made the save. John Silver hit a cannonball senton, and O’Reilly was fed into the ring for Buckshot. It was time for Storytime with Adam Page. It all began in 2008 when a young Adam Cole joined the industry – and became a star everywhere he went, until he flaked out of WWE. He scurried to his friends in AEW, but the top prize here will just lead to a Six Foot hole.
At AEW Revolution, Cole took a step too close to that grave, and the better Adam won. Can Hangman Page defeat Adam Cole at AEW Revolution? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
