Hangman Page is not done with Adam Cole yet, and tonight once again faces the trio formerly known as The Undisputed Era. However, instead of taking his normal friends of Dark Order to the match tonight, he’s got the AEW World Tag Team Champions. It’s a dream team when you have three champions on the same side, but can this first time trio get the win?
Adam Cole & reDRagonClaim Trios Win Over Adam Page & Jurassic Express
Cole would kick things off with Jungle Boy, taking an aggressive start. An enziguri would miss, and JB took advantage with an arm drag and dropkick. Bobby Fish would get the tag to get things back in control, but was faced by the overhand chop of Luchasaurus. Cole took a chop before Kyle O’Reilly was able to dodge. Luchasaurus was lured to the outside, where a three man assault finally took him down.
The knee would be isolated, and KOR would be able to really start to break the dinosaur down. Luchasarus was able to fight free and tag in Hangman Page, who was able to bounce off the ropes to take Cole down, sent KOR to the outside – and nailed Fish with a fall away slam. Two dives to the outside would follow, and Page would get a near fall off the Pop Up Powerbomb.
Cole, Fish & O’Reilly would gather on the outside, and JB dove and took them all down. A three way moonsault would follow, with everyone hitting their mark before JB got a two count on fish in the ring. Cole would get the cheap shot to allow Fish to force JB into their corner, and would be able to slow the pace down.
JB would manage to break free with the comebacker lariat, before Luchasarus would chokeslam KOR onto Fish before hitting a moonsault on both men. A knee bar would be applied from KOR, but Page was able to break the hold.
Page met Cole in the middle of the ring, before Page & Luchasarus would set up a double doomsday device – before KOR made the save. Cole would isolate Jungle Boy in the ring and nail the boom for the win.
Jon Moxley & Bryan Danielson Are Back For More Damage
Jon Moxley & Bryan Danielson have been united as a tag team, all thanks to their mutual mentor of William Regal. After dropping the Workhorseman in their tag team debut, these violent men have a chance to start a streak as they take on Chuck Taylor & Wheeler Yuta in tag team action. They’ll have Regal around, while Yuta & Taylor have Danhausen, Trent? and Orange Cassidy in their corner.
Regal would take his spot on commentary, and before the bell even rang – Danielson & Moxley would rush their opponents. Yuta took a knee to the midsection, before Moxley followed up with a midkick and brainbuster. Some heavy chops in the corner would follow before Danielson would start to work over the arm of Yuta.
The elbow would get stomped before a kick to the back. Yuta managed to get the tag to Chuckie T, who would show his skills taking both men down before rolling into a single leg crab. Danielson completed the tag to Moxley, who kicked Chuck in the face. Moxley would trade blows with Chuck before Danielson tagged in and applied the deathlock before bridging back into the Muta Lock briefly.
Wheeler Yuta Joins Moxley, Danielson & Regal?
Chuck would take a kick to the face from Moxley, before the Hammerlock was applied. Danielson would miss a running dropkick, before Moxley hit the ring again. Yuta got the tag and hit the inverted atomic drop. All his speed couldn’t avoid a King Kong Lariat, but Moxley would be quickly hit with a German Suplex in response.
Chuck would save Yuta from a pinfall and look for the piledriver on Moxley, before getting bitten and taken down with Paradigm Shifts. Yuta would try to fight off both men, before a backdrop driver and Regalplex for a two count. Head would be stomped in, and this one was over with the Bulldog Choke.
After the match, Yuta would offer a handshake to Regal – and get a slap to the face. Regal would get Yuta in his face- showing some serious guts. He was told to leave before things got too tough for him, but there was some interest there tonight.
