Actor Frank Langella has reportedly been fired from the set of the Netflix series ‘The Fall of the House of Usher’ following an allegation of sexual misconduct investigation.
Frank Langella Reportedly Fired From ‘The Fall Of The House Of Usher’ Series After An Allegation Of Sexual Misconduct
The star of the Netflix show was cast to play the character of Roderick Usher in the horror series. But his future on the show could now be over after claims emerged he had engaged in sexual behaviour on the set.
It is claimed that he had made a joke of a sexual nature that had crossed the line, as well as touching a female co-star on the leg before stating: “Did you like that?” And yet, other reports stress that he has not been fired as of yet.
Regardless, an investigation is currently being held in order to determine whether or not the authorities are going to take further action.
In the meantime, the production has already taken steps to move on. They have allegedly decided to recast the actor and make sure that all the scenes that Frank was involved in are reshot.
And if an investigation does find that Frank has something to answer for, then surely he would become another victim of cancel culture.
By being at the age of 84, there were already question marks over how long he would be able to continue in the profession. And this may simply be the final nail in the coffin.
Naturally, the reaction on social media was very hostile towards this. A significant proportion of people were in disbelief over the accusations.
Meanwhile, others were of the view that if Frank was guilty then he needed to be held to account with the highest possible punishment. One person wrote: “No way! Not Skeletor!!”
The only thing left to do is let the authorities conduct an investigation and rule on the matter. But given everything that we have seen so far, things are not looking very good for Frank.
And he will need a stern and credible defence to counter the accusations that are being made against him. So there you have it folks. What do you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
