Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuG_TOtBEfc
Tonight looks like it’s going to be a fun one as Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair have a Beat the Clock I quit competition, and Drew McIntyre faces Sami Zayn in a steel cage.
We’ll be back to get WWE Smackdown Live Results rolling at the 8 p.m. EST showtime.
Segment 1
Steel Cage Match – Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn
Sami tried to escape three times and Drew caught him all three, but Sami hit a sunset flip powerbomb on the third one as we headed to commercial.
Segment 2
Sami hit a Helluva Kick, but instead of leaving by the door he tried to climb out and was caught. Drew closed it out with a Claymore for the win.
Segment 3
Happy Corbin threatened to destroy Madcap Moss’ Andre the Giant trophy, but Moss was one of his helpers and attacked Corbin and chased him from the ring.
Segment 4
Intercontinental Championship – Ricochet (c) vs. Shanky w/Jinder Mahal
Shanky dominated with some help from Mahal, and somehow Ricochet slipped off his shoulder and rolled him up. We love Ricochet, but like last week the ending was so rough.
He should’ve at least gotten after Shanky’s legs to help us believe he couldn’t kick out.
Segment 5
Raquel Rodriquez vs. Cat Cardoza
This was a decent match that wasn’t quite a squash as Cat put up a good fight before falling prey to Raquel’s powerbomb.
Segment 6
The tag team unification contract signing didn’t happen and Orton instigated a brawl by calling Jimmy Uso a b—-. Reigns came out and the Usos jumped RK-Bro from behind. Reings tore up the contract and stuck in Riddle’s mouth.
Drew McIntyre came out and dropped the Usos, then took Reigns out and held the ring.
Segment 7
Naomi w/Sasha Banks vs. Shayna Baszler w/Natalya
Naomi won with a rollup, but Natalya attacked Naomi. Banks tried to help but Natalya locked in a sharpshooter on her through the ropes while Baszler stomped Naomi’s shoulder.
Segment 8
Ridge Holland w/Sheamus vs. Xavier Woods w/Kofi Kingston
Holland started out in control, but Woods sent him to the floor and hit a tornado DDT as we headed to commercial.
Segment 9
Holland dominated and again Woods won with a Back Woods rollup. Copy, paste, repeat with different names.
Segment 10
Sheamus w/ Ridge Holland vs. Kofi Kingston w/Xavier Woods
This started during the commercial break, and after a flurry from Kofi Sheamus switched on the dominate streak and won on his second Brogue Kick.
Holland attacked Woods from behind and then powerbombed Woods through a table.
Segment 11
Beat the Clock Challenge – Ronda Rousey caught Shotzi and made her quite at 1:41.
Beat the Clock Challenge – Flair didn’t lock in a hold until she had 14 seconds left, just verbally demanding Aliyah quit. This was just… yeah.
Flair blamed Drew Gulak, who was the time keeper, and knocked him out with the ring bell. This is so much worse than Nia Jax putting Lana through tables every week. No reason or logic to it at all except Gulak upset someone backstage.
This was a decent show until that ending. We’re at a loss for words at that. What do you think about the show? let us know in the comments below and thank you for joining WWE Smackdown Live Results.
We had an awesome times and can’t wait for next week.
See you then!
