Back at AEW Revolution, fans saw one of the best opening matches in the company’s history. It was also considered to be one of the best in the career of Chris Jericho, and easily the biggest victory in the career of Eddie Kingston. At the time, things were a matter of respect – but once the Jericho Appreciation Society was formed, and Kingston was beaten down – things got deadly serious. Now, following Jericho throwing a fireball in the face of Kingston, and calling himself “The Wizard” afterwards, things have heated up to dangerous levels.
Chris Jericho Puts A Restraining Order Between Eddie Kingston and Himself
During AEW Rampage, Chris Jericho was at the commentary desk – and received a phone call from Eddie Kingston. During this call, Kingston described how scared his wife was when he returned home after this attack from Jericho. He felt Jericho made this a very personal issue, and promised to put that same fear into Jericho when Kingston sees him next.
Knowing that Kingston was serious, Jericho did what anyone would – and proceeded to file a restraining order against Kingston. He’d reveal as much on Twitter, replying to an unrelated tweet from Kingston – just stating that ‘The Goon is a great movie.’ Jericho had the following response.
”No surprise…because you sir ARE a goon. I’ve also filed a restraining order. Stay home Kingston. And say hi to your wife for me…..”
Jericho is expected to elaborate further next Wednesday on Dynamite, as his faction has gotten time on TV for a ‘victory celebration’. This feud is expected to come to an end over the next month, with a conclusion planned for Double or Nothing. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer noted that a stipulation match between the two is planned for the event, but the nature of the match has not yet been revealed.
