After being missing for several weeks, Kiely Rodni was identified as the woman found inside a submerged vehicle in the Prosser Creek Reservoir in Nevada County, California.
Body Found Inside Submerged Car Identified as the Missing Kiely Rodni
Authorities announced their finding on August 22, 2022 after a YouTube diving team found Rodni’s car upside down and 14 feet underwater. The last time that Kiely Rodni was seen alive was on August 6, 2022 near Truckee, CA—which isn’t far from the Prosser Reservoir. Rodni was in the area along with roughly 100 fellow teens partying at a Lake Tahoe campground.
The big question remains what happened after she was last seen on August 6 and how did she end up underwater? Did she have an accident and ended up unable to free herself from the vehicle or was there something more sinister here?
Whenever this kind of scene is made known, the first thought is always foul play. It simply looks too suspicious even if it was in fact an accident. Authorities haven’t confirmed their theory on Kiely Rodni’s death and are currently still investigating.
