Rapper Cardi B made a surprise visit to her elementary school in an initiative to give back.
Cardi B Donates $100,000 To Her Former Elementary School
The star may be known for being one of the biggest stars around, but it seems that she did not forget where she came from. Cardi made the trip to the Brooklyn Morris Heights area where she went to school.
And as part of that process, she allegedly donated $100,000. This was a massive donation, and by the looks of it, her appearance had the desired impact.
In the video here, we can see that Cardi is wearing a red dress. As she walked through the school doors, the whole room began to scream in excitement. Cardi then walks past to get to the front, as she waves to everyone.
Once the excitement had died down, Cardi decided to give everyone a speech. This was designed to motivate them and let the students know that anything was possible regardless of what others have to say.
Not only that, but if Cardi could manage to become such a success, then it was possible for others to do so. After all, she did come from a low-income background. But for all her stardom, she wanted to thank her teachers.
In her speech, she stated: “A lot of the teachers were really tough on me because they saw something in me. I was like a bad kid, but I was very special to a lot of these teachers and I still got them in my heart.”
The speech went down very well with people on social media. And in the process of doing so, people praised Cardi for going out of her way. After all, there was no obligation on her to do so. One person wrote: “Cardi has such a big heart!”
