Pulling a thread and unraveling the whole thing, the Punjab Police had two others in custody—Jaskaran Singh and Rattanbir Singh. After arresting them on October 5, authorities seized ten foreign pistols after two gave them the locations.
Both would also reveal that Surinder Singh picked up the weapons and ammo and that drones from Pakistan dropped the batch off. While interrogating Surinder Singh, authorities found that he would pick up the batches as ordered by Jasakaran Singh.
He would go to Rattanbir, pick them up, and hand them off to brothers Harchand and Gurashib.
Jaskaran would reveal that their Pakistani supplier was man who went by “Asif” who also smuggled drugs to the group via drones. “Asif” refers to ISI agent Asif Dongar.
In busting Surinder, the Punjab Police picked up ten pistols, six magazines, and 100 live cartridges. The two brothers had the rest of the batch with seven pistols, 500 grams of heroin, scales, money counters, an MP-4 rifle, and almost $123,000 in cash—or Rs 1.01 crore.
The total seizure comes out to 17 pistols with 400 live cartridges, two money counters, two scales, the MP-4 with 300 live cartridges, the heroin, and the cash.
