Aaron Carter’s ex Hilary Duff has reacted to the news of his death at the age of 34.
Aaron Carter’s Ex Hilary Duff Reacts To His Death
The singer was found dead by the authorities in his bathtub after reportedly receiving a call from the house sitter suggesting someone could have drowned.
And given that Hilary had dated Aaron in the past, it is understandable that the news has left her shaken. The duo had dated each other in 2000 when they were both only 13-years-old.
While they would go on to break things off after around a year, Hilary still had fond memories of him which stayed with her to this day.
In her comments, she said: “For Aaron — I’m deeply sorry that life was so hard for you and that you had to struggle in-front of the whole world.
“You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent … boy did my teenage self love you deeply. Sending love to your family at this time.”
Much in the same way, Carter held Hilary in very high esteem. He previously spoke about how he was happy to see her move on and have children.
And as part of that process, he admitted in 2012 that Hilary was the love of ‘his life’ looking back. And in the process of doing so, Carter questioned what could have been had he stayed with Hilary.
In some prior comments at the time, Carter remarked: “I’m really happy for her that she’s in a successful relationship and that she’s going to have a baby.
“Sometimes I think to myself, maybe that could have been me but it is what it is.” Nevertheless, Carter would find happiness as he went on to welcome his son Prince with his on-and-off fiancée Melanie Martin just last year.
The tragedy from all of this is that Carter will not be able to see his son grow up, which will impact those involved forever. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
