According to reports, two men discharged multiple shots into a grocery store owned by Lionel Messi’s family members in Argentina.
Lionel Messi’s Family’s Store Shot By Gunmen
The family-owned Unico grocery store is located in Rosario, Argentina, a distance of 200 miles from the country’s capital, Buenos Aires. It belongs to the parents of Lionel’s wife, Antonela Roccuzzo. And things took a turn for the worse.
An ordinary grocery shopping experience was disrupted on Thursday, 2nd March 2023, when two perpetrators drove up to the store on a motorcycle in broad daylight, with one of them getting off the bike and starting to shoot, according to observers.
In an unbelievable turn of events, no one was hurt, however, the incident caused destruction of property, such as the shattering of a windowpane in the front.
And the people responsible did the following: It is alleged that a warning was sent to the footballer, via a note, saying “Messi, we are waiting for you.”
Not long after the occurrence of the violent event, Mayor Javkin went to the location and voiced his disapproval of Argentina’s national police for neglecting to control drug-related offenses.
Additionally, local police officers spoke and, although the statement looked intimidating, they indicated that this was likely an attempt to grab “attention,” instead of a warning.
Even though his family’s shop was in a frightening state, Lionel Messi seemed unfazed as he continued to play football as normal. The response on social media was one of relief. Large numbers of people expressed sadness at what had happened.
One person wrote: “It is his wife’s family market. So sad,” while another person stated: “That’s f***ed up he just won the World Cup for his country too smh.”
Hopefully, this incident is put to bed as soon as possible. And that is the most important thing to remember. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
