Darby Allin is just one of the men gunning for a title shot against MJF at Double or Nothing 2023. However, before he can focus on MJF – Allin has to now break past Swerve Strickland.

After calling for Brian Cage to beat down Allin on a recent episode of AEW Rampage – Swerve Strickland will look to take down Allin tonight on Dynamite.

A win over Allin could allow for Swerve to snake his way into a title shot of his own – but Allin won’t let that happen without a fight.

Darby Allin & Swerve Strickland Go To War

Allin would quickly hit the stunner to send Swerve to the floor, before a suicide dive to the floor. Swerve was slid into the ring for the Coffin Drop – and while he rolled to the floor, Allin dove onto him anyways.

Allin would be tripped on the apron before Swerve hit the scoop slam onto the floor. A jumping stomp would follow, Swerve keeping the pressure on before setting up the steel steps – and dragging Allin down them.

Allin would take the heel of Swerve’s boot to the jaw, and back in the ring – would kick out at two. Swerve would pull the belt of Allin off, and used it as a whip – before being tripped up as Allin fought back.

Allin would suffered a busted lip from a big kick in the corner, before a superkick on the apron left him hanging for a slingshot stomp.

Back in the ring, Allin would be put into an armbar, but was able to fight free. Swerve kept the strikes coming, before a Torture Rack was applied – hitting a series of backbreakers for a two count. Allin would be able to hang Swerve in the corner, pulling off the left boot and biting Swerves foot.

Swerve would look for a brainbuster, but Allin countered with a Scorpion Death Drop for a two count. Allin would set up a Poisonrana off the apron, and a Coffin Drop would follow. Prince Nana rushed the ring and got Swerve’s foot on the rope, trying to lure Allin into a Cage on the ramp.

Allin would return to the ring and House Call & Swerve Stomp followed – but Swerve only getting two. JML Driver would be blocked, and Code Red set up The Last Supper – getting Allin the win.

MJF Is Mandated To Show Up In Milwaukee

MJF was supposed to have a fantastic time last week on AEW Dynamite. He was in the greatest place on earth, his hometown of Long Island.

MJF just got the key to the city, had a big band to play him the ring, and a chance to verbally berate a teacher who doubted him. It was all going according to plan, until Jungle Boy attacked him from behind.

In the brawl, Sammy Guevara would come to the ring and would dare to touch his belt. Now, he doesn’t even get time to mentally recover – as he’s required to appear tonight.

MJF would tell the crowd to shut it as he looked to rip into Allin. He knows that was an incredible match against Swerve, and that’s not news to anyone.

Alongside MJF, Allin had one of the best matches in AEW history. However, that match ended with a Headlock Takeover, yet Allin thinks he can take the AEW World Championship away from him. Simply put, Allin is not on the level of the devil.

Allin would ask if MJF is happy now – as when they were on the indies together, MJF felt getting to national TV would solve all his issues.

Allin felt the same, but therapy also helped – MJF should try it. MJF is too hung up on the fame and money to realize – while Allin has just focused on helping his family while entertaining fans. Allin refused to sell out his morals to get to the top, unlike MJF.

Sting Is A Cheerleader For Allin, Like What Cody Rhodes Was For MJF

MJF would say that while Allin claims to be a daredevil, but he doesn’t take the real risks. Will MJF end up on his deathbed alone? Maybe – but that will all be worth it if the AEW World Championship is there with him.

MJF is willing to do whatever it takes to leave behind a legacy in his sport as the Greatest of All Time. Allin’s legacy meanwhile will be that he was Sting’s bitch.

Sting would hit the ring, and ask what MJF is on about with saying the pillars are in in daycare. Sting isn’t really a daycare kind of guy – more of a cheerleader. He’d proceed to throw pom poms at MJF, and Sting would offer to stop if MJF stops with the Cody Daycare thing.

Sting hypes up Allin, just like Cody Rhodes did the same for MJF, just like what Ric Flair did for Sting. However, as he’s came through the industry – Sting knows where his goals are.

He’s not looking for more World Championships, showtime is almost over for him – but is just beginning for Allin. He will be World Champion, and Allin intends to do so at the expense of MJF.
