Amber Heard is in search of money to pay up her ex-husband for the lost defamation trial. And according to many newsletters and tabloids, she is totally broke. What this means is that she might need to sell her real estate to pay him up.
Now there is one more possibility if this doesn’t work as well. If she is also unable, or unwilling to sell her real estate the court might seize her assets. Then, transfer them to Johnny Depp’s name. This includes all her property including her California’s Yucca Valley home.
“Depp can institute collection proceedings so he can garnish Heard’s pay if she has a salary or wage-type income.” – Depp’s lawyer Jeremiah Denton says. “He can attach her assets which basically means seize them. He can get to her assets, sell them and take cash.”
The financial state of the actress is confirmed by her lawyer Elain Bredehoft as well. She publicly stated several times that the actress is unable to pay the $10 million.
“We connect on a lot of levels but the first thing that really got me was she’s an aficionado of the blues. I would play a song, some old obscure blues song, and she knew what it was. She’s very very literate. She’s a voracious reader as I have been, so we connected on that as well and she’s kind of brilliant and beautiful. I am a lucky man.” – Johnny Depp says in an interview at the beginning of their marriage.
