The news of the popular singer Ricky Martin sexually harassing and engaging in an incestuous relationship with his nephew circles the world. If this does prove to be true Ricky Martin might face up to 50 years in prison.
According to the victim, he and Ricky were in a romantic relationship for seven months. The end of the relationship came two months ago. Allegedly the victim was not able to take it anymore due to the ‘physical and psychological attacks’ on him.
Ricky Martin’s Brother Defends The Singer – Nephew Has ‘Mental Health Challenges’
After some time, now Ricky Martin’s brother, Eric Martin comes into the singer’s defense. He denies all accusations as an evil try to defame and downgrade the world-class singer. Eric backs up the claims made by Ricky Martin’s lawyer that his nephew is indeed mentally challenged and is struggling with deep mental health issues.
Eric Martin, the singer’s brother recently shared a video on social media backing up the claims about his nephew. Most importantly, he points out that just because someone has received a restraining order doesn’t mean that immediately he is guilty of any crime. This alone means that regardless of how ‘interesting’ it sounds, it doesn’t mean that the accuser is telling the truth. This needs to go through a process to check its validity.
In the video, Martin speaks in Spanish and identifies the nephew by his name. Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, a 21 years old man that has mental problems. He refers to his nephew in the video and ‘talks directly to him’ saying that he needs to seek medical help. He also points out that he is positive about his nephew having mental health issues. According to him, due to having this inclination to make stuff up, he is ‘unofficially’ not a part of the family anymore.
There is still no official statement from Ricky Martin on the matter, however, his lawyers already issued a statement denying all accusations.
“Unfortunately, the person who made this claim is struggling with deep mental health challenges.” – Marty Singer, Ricky Martin’s lawyer says. “Ricky Martin has never been — and would never be — involved in any sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew. The idea is not only untrue, but it is also disgusting.” – The lawyer adds. “We all hope that this man gets the help he so urgently needs. But, most of all, we look forward to the dismissal of this awful case. We hope for a dismissal as soon as a judge gets to look at the facts.”
