EVIL & Dick Togo have earned a horrible reputation in NJPW, and now they seek to taint another show. GO Shiozaki is a man who claims to be NOAH, and is upset to not be in a headline match. However, with Masa Kitamiya at his side – they will try to take down House of Torture, and pinning EVIL could open up a shot at the NEVER Openweight Championship. GO Shiozaki would be able to redeem that title, and bring it back to hard hitting roots – but first needs to over EVIL & Togo tonight.
GO Shiozaki & Masa Kitamiya Show NJPW How To Deal With House Of Torture
EVIL would start for House of Torture, with Togo shortly behind for a two on one attack. Shiozaki would nail a double shoulder tackle, and Kitamiya sent EVIL back into the ring for some heavy chops. EVIL would gouge at the eyes, and Togo would expose the corner and Shiozaki met steel.
The usual outside attack would come, with the ring announcer being sent flying as Shiozaki was rammed into the barricade just in front of his table. Togo would hit the running fist drop in the ring, and EVIL would get some help with an abdominal stretch in the ring. Shiozaki was getting angry with this nonsense, and hit a hard back elbow to the face.
Kitamiya hit the ring, and nailed the heavy Samoan Drops on both opponents before some running sentons. EVIL would feed the leg of Kitamiya to the referee and hit a thrust kick to the mid-section. Togo tagged in and Kitamiya ran him down with a hard lariat. Shiozaki got some chops on Togo, before Togo hit a low blow.
The referee was taken out, and SHO & Yujiro Takahashi would come to ringside. Even on a show like this, House of Torture need to try and ruin the show. Kitamiya would hit a double spear however, and took an eye poke only to nail another. Shiozaki nailed the Fisherman Buster, and Kitamiya would hold EVIL at bay as Shiozaki knocked Togo out with a lariat. That’s how you take out House of Torture, and this one is up to 4-3-1 with NJPW still in the lead.
ZSJ & Ogawa Put On A Clinic In Tokyo Dome
Yoshinobu Kanemaru has a reputation as being one of the greatest GHC Juniors of all time, and has never been beaten by Naomichi Marufuji. With Zack Sabre Jr at this side, he means Marufuji once again – and he’s brought Yoshinari Ogawa. Ogawa & ZSJ spent years as tag team partners, and know each other very well. Lots of history in his match, but the main story thread here is Kanemaru trying to avoid losing to Marufuji.
Ogawa & ZSJ would start the match, and we’d see how far ZSJ has come since his time learning under Ogawa. They’d trade control of holds, with ZSJ grabbing a cravat and refusing to let go. The second it was broken, he’d regrab the hold. Kanemaru & Marufuji took the ring, but Kanemaru was quick to slip outside and draped the knee of Marufuji over the barricade and kicked away.
In the ring, ZSJ would continue the attack on the leg of Marufuji, tying it up with a deathlock. Kanemaru would take advantage and quick tags were picking that leg apart. He’d get free and go for a dropkick and was a step slower than usual. ZSJ threw some strikes and Marufuji was able to tag out to Ogawa after a dropkick. More sublime technical wrestling would follow, and Ogawa took a dragon screw onto the mat. Kanemaru tagged in and was met again with Marufuji, who nailed a rushing lariat -but that knee was weak and a basement dropkick landed flush.
Naomichi Marufuji Finally Gets A Win Over Kanemaru
Another dropkick to the back of the knee would be followed by a Figure Four Leg Lock from Kanemaru, right in the middle of the ring. Marufuji would not quit, despite the expert application of the hold – and Ogawa got free from ZSJ on the outside to save his partner. Kanemaru hit the moonsault, but only got a two count.
The referee would be dropped as Marufuji looked for the Shiranui – and Kanemaru wanted to spit some whiskey. Marufuji would nail a kick and some heavy knee strikes, before Kanemaru got a two count off a roll up. More knee strikes and a Shiranui would come – and Marufuji FINALLY pins one of his greatest rivals. This puts the record up to 4-4-1, tying this show up result wise.
