The matches will be in a pool without fans. Many will have to buy the streaming for the show. Here’s the early report by Super Luchas: Through a statement, DTU announced that in this event it will collaborate with Aztec Warriors GAW Wrestling and that the long-term relationship will be maintained. Among the wrestlers who will participate in the event is Pesadilla,…

Florida wrestling promotion, Major League Wrestling (MLW), is exploring having shows in several islands in 2021. The company’s last shows were in coordination with Mexico, now they look to expand. The Covid-19 pandemic is not stopping any day soon, making the lives of various wrestling promotions tedious. MLW is considering doing some shows in Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Both are convenient places, as MLW would not require any visa arrangements – Hawaii being a state and Puerto Rico a territory of the US. It seems that for the near future, title matches in these islands is the closest thing they’re…
Two days ago we reported on El Hijo del Santo’s wish to wrestle Atlantis in a Lucha de Apuestas. The match no doubt would be gold all over Mexico, as El Hijo del Santo & Atlantis are the biggest legends active today in Mexico. The match could be in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre or outside the company. This is an effort by Santo, which means that is all up in the air. Per Super Luchas, some updates have arisen on the situation. First, a post by Octagon, the AAA legend said the following: The masks of Fuerza Guerra, Atlanis,…

World Wrestling Council (WWC), currently the biggest Lucha Libre promotion in Puerto Rico, announced in its Superestrellas de la Lucha Libre program that it was in talks for a return with the Puerto Rico Department of Recreation and Sports. According to Toledo: “[Colón and Jovica] are developing a protocol to work together with the Department of Recreation and Sports and its director Adriana Sánchez Parés.” We contacted a WWC official to find out what date was being planned or at least what is feasible. The WWC official indicated that it would be irresponsible of him to provide a date and…
Since the firing from WWE, the Colons (Primo and Epico Colon) have been rebuilding the wrestling promotion of the family. World Wrestling Council has really taken off since their return. Before the Colons returned to WWC, the company was doing poor numbers, barely beating its competitors. Shows were sometimes canceled and in some instances, only 100 fans would arrive. Moreover, the roster was really weak, with champions that didn’t attract new fans or the old ones. Wrestling promotions like La Liga Wrestling and even CWA were beating them in wrestling quality and attendance. While the style of WWC was deteriorating,…
If you tuned this week to All Elite Wrestling’s Dark, you might have noticed once again the presence of Serpentico. Serpentico has been wrestling in AEW for over two straight months. He’s been changing from gimmicks from Jon Cruz to Serpentico, getting into squash matches with Brian Cage and the Jurassic Express. But, this week’s match was an excellent exhibition of Serpentico’s talent. The match was against Scorpio Sky. Both wrestlers are highflyers, so the mix and match were excellent. Although Sky won the match, Serpentico showed that he could hang with the best in the company. The end came when…
Former WWE superstar and MLW regular, Savio Vega, has shown skepticism in the return of wrestling to Puerto Rico. Vegas, who owns IWA PR, the former big promotion, popularized in the 2000s, is worried about the health risk that the COVID-19 pandemic represents. Since 2019, the International Wrestling Association returned to wrestling. The first shows were a tour of nostalgia, featuring some of the biggest stars that formed IWA PR, like El Mesias, Apolo, Shane the Glamour Boy, Slash Venom, among others. After the nostalgia run, the company started to decline year again, featuring a mix of IWA PR veterans…
Per Super Luchas, Impact Wrestling’s Daga says to be willing to defend his AAA Latin American title outside the company. Daga won the championship back in October against Drago in Heroes Inmortales XIII. He only defended the championship once in AAA, against Brian Cage, Flamita, and Taurus. Daga is arguably one of the best technical wrestlers in Mexico. He and Negro Navarro show a different side to the regular Lucha Libre style that fans expect from Mexico. In the last two years, Daga exploded in the independent scene. He wrestled in PROGRESS Wrestling’s SS Tournament. Moreover, he was part of…
