Remember last year when there was scuttlebutt about The Undertaker signing a lifetime deal with WWE? There was a period before that where he was doing appearances outside of WWE then he signed with the company again. No rolling contract for the Deadman. It turns out that Undertaker’s deal was for 15 years. 15 Years, A Lifetime—What Is Time For The Undertaker? So, there are a few things about this. One thing is what capacity can WWE use The Undertaker in following his full retirement? He’s never really shown that he would be a good fit at the commentary booth. You could say that he’s been on the mic in WWE since the New Generation. Before that, it was either Paul…
Last year, there were rumors of Bayley being involved in a lesbian storyline with Sasha Banks. These kinds of storylines can be extremely hard to pull off well. Just look at the company’s history with running gay gimmicks in general. Now imagine a storyline where someone is supposed to be attracted to and obsessed with another superstar. Well, you don’t have to imagine. If we go into WWE’s vault, you’ll find plenty—even a lesbian angle before Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. WWE Lesbian Storyline Attempt #1: Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James Yes, attempt number one came via the Trish-Mickie feud from 2005. It kicked off with Mickie helping Trish in a match and being presented as a fan of Trish. Usually, fans are…
We’re heading Into the Vault for Impact Wrestling’s TNA Final Resolution 2005. It was simpler times for Impact when they ran all of their shows out of one place and they ran a handful of storylines. Actually, they ran several but most were these competitive feuds which are pretty low management. Let’s crack this show open and see what it’s about. Low-Tier I dig 6-man matches but Impact’s 6-man bouts have always been a mixed bag. When you add 3 Live Kru it’s like “How did a TNA Impact match make it onto PPV.” This was the case with the 6-man on TNA Final Resolution. “But it had…
We’re still rocking in 1995 as we head Into the Vault! It’s the summer of ’95 and WWE just came off of a mediocre WWE King of the Ring where Mable took the win and the debut of the slightly better but still disappointing WWE In Your House. These PPVs have been missing the decent mark and far from good—which is weird since WWE Monday Night Raw in 1995 wasn’t bad at all week-to-week. This week we’re checking out the good, the bad, and the bowling shoe ugly of WWE In Your House 2: The Lumberjacks! WWE will have to both top the last In Your House at 4.5 out of 10 as…
We’re at MLW Fusion #105! This episode pits a couple of Major League Wrestling stars against Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide’s best. MLW tends to have good relationships with lucha promotions so let’s see what they have on tap for us. MLW Fusion #105: MLW/AAA Super Series Tijuana Barrio Match: Mance Warner & Savio Vega vs. Pagano & Mortiz MLW National Openweight Title: Alexander Hammerstone [c] vs. Laredo Kid I like how Major League Wrestling made sure to promote AAA as the top lucha libre promotion in the world. The show opens with the Mexican national anthem followed by a run down of the card for this episode. Alexander Hammerstone is out there to provide guest commentary for the first bout. We go backstage with interviewer and YouTuber Alicia Atout. Yes, I’ve been referring to her as “backstage interviewer” since we’ve started covering Major…
We’re once again making out way to MLW Fusion #105 with Major League Wrestling taking on some of AAA’s best. Before that, we’re diving into #104! Here’s this episode’s card: MLW Fusion #104: MJF vs. Mance Warner Douglas James vs. Septimo Dragon Empty Arena, Loser Leaves MLW: MJF vs. Mance Warner With Major League Wrestling, when you see a Fusion card with two matches, expect a wall of promo after the first match. Let’s get into this show. Douglas James vs. Septimo Dragon This was a good, competitive opening bout—lots of counters and equal offense. It’s one of those matches that has a lot going on in it even if it was short. Since the match was strike-heavy, the…
There are major developments in Major League Wrestling on MLW Fusion #103! MJF has something to say Ol’ Mancer, Hammerston defends his title against international star T-Hawk, and the “King of the Knockouts” is decided as Low Ki squares off against King Mo. MLW Fusion #103: Low Ki vs. King Mo $1,000 Prize Fight Challenge: Dominic Garrini vs. Dr. Dax MLW National Openweight Title: Alexander Hammerstone [c] vs. T-Hawk King of the Knockouts: Low Ki vs. King Mo The 103rd episode opened with a recap of the Von Erichs vs. Team Filthy feud. First, we get the ending to #101 when the Von Erichs and Davey Boy Smith Jr ran out to help Killer Kross against Team Filthy and Tom Lawlor.…

The major stories in Major League Wrestling include Mance Warner and his allies taking on Dynasty, The Von Erichs and Davey Boy Smith Jr facing Team Filthy, and Brian Pillman Jr’s feud with Injustice. Those are the big stories for the next few episodes. Here’s the card for the episode: MLW Fusion #102 Zenshi vs. El Lindaman Richard Holliday vs. X 8-Man Tag Match: Davey Boy Smith Jr, Killer Kross, & The Von Erichs vs. Team Filthy (Tom Lawlor, Erick Stevens, Dominic Garrini, & Kit Osbourne) MLW Fusion #102 kicks off with the news…
WCW in 1995 was the road to a turnaround. That year was really the calm before the storm in the industry as the 90s wrestling boom was on the horizon. On the Atlanta promotion’s end, they were beefing up their roster with some of the best international talent and established stars. You can do that when the company is a personal project and you have an infinite money cheat basically. What we’re looking at this time is July 16’s WCW Bash At The Beach 1995! Low-Tier I’m a fan of the WCW TV title. Next to the World Cruiserweight title, it’s my favorite…
There are good Johnnies in wrestling and there are awesome Daniels. I would say that there are Jodies who rock but there is only a handful of Jodies of note in the business. Jeffreys pop up everywhere in wrestling. Do you know who else pops up everywhere? Davids. Let’s get into the five of the worst Davids in wrestling. “Why are you hating on Davids? What did we ever do to you?” Don’t worry, we’ll go into the five best Davids as well but right now, we need to remember that Davids, Davies, and Daves have all given us some atrocious stuff in wrestling. David Arquette (2000): WCW World Champion A…
