Talking Smack was a WWE original show that debuted on the 2nd August, 2016. It went on for 2 years with its last show airing on July 11, 2017 with 50 episodes. The show was a kind of recap of what happened in Smackdown and by the end, the show was hosted by Renee Young. It also heavily featured Daniel Bryan as he was the General Manager at the time. The show was also part of the Smackdown PPV with the last show being a post show for a PPV with the official final show airing on March 11, 2018. …
As of today, Renne Young has quit WWE. There is currently no confirmation on her next move and where we’ll see her next. It looks like she left due to the fact that WWE were not treating her right. This was due to her constantly being moved from one area of WWE to another, at one point she was on the commentary. Then she was on her own show and then she was on the pre-show for the PPV. It was then confirmed that she was one of the WWE employees to get Covid-19. This feels like this could have…
WWE currently has 18 belts across all three brands that includes tag teams as one. With Jericho saying in a podcast recently that less is more with wrestling belts in AEW. It doesn’t look like WWE are going down that route. With a lot of their belts near enough worthless. For example, the 24/7 championship belt feels pointless and at the moment so does the women’s tag team belt due to the lack of storylines behind them. There are arguably a lot more pointless titles spread about WWE but we don’t want any hate in the comments. Battleground belt has…
There are a lot of wrestlers in big companies that don’t seem to get their big break. When they deserve a push but there’s no space and instead put them into a tag team seems to be the norm but there are some wrestlers who would be perfect as part of a team but are still by themselves. This would be massive for WWE as they are usually criticized for the lack of focus on the tag team roster. It usually ends up with nothing for the roster to do half the time, even though they have 3 tag belts…
There were a lot of wrestlers accused of sexual assault in the Speak Out movement. A lot of these wrestlers that were accused have now been let go from their company. There is one wrestler that has surprisingly returned to NXT. This being Velveteen Dream, he was accused of sending multiple inappropriate messages through social media. He did deny all claims and since then we haven’t heard from him. Until last night on NXT when he returned as part of the triple threat match for a chance to be part of the North American championship ladder match. It looks like…
This does contain some spoilers for this week’s Monday Night Raw, if you’re a bit behind, you have been warned. It also should be mentioned that this is a spoiler for the SummerSlam PPV. In this week’s Raw, we had more progression into the feud between Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre. This happens to throw Randy Orton turning on Ric Flair with a low blow and kicking him in the head. It was an amazing promo that really showed why Randy is already a legend. That being said, it can’t be helped to think there are so many underused…
At the moment, the Dark Order are on a very good run. They have just beaten the Elite in a 12 man tag match and it could be a very good push for them. It also should be mentioned that they’re one of the best parts of the BTE show on YouTube. The group has become much better over the last year. At the moment, they haven’t really had any notable feuds. The new inclusion of Cult (Colt) Cobana and Anna Jay Has added some story to the faction but not that much at the moment. Could it be…
A heel turn can really make or break a wrestler. If a wrestler isn’t doing well and fans are hating on a wrestler, by having them turn heel. It can really go the way the fans want. This usually makes the fans hate the wrestler more and therefore making it just feel right to hate them. Then this can sometimes turn back into fans liking the wrestler once more. Let’s look at four wrestlers who would benefit from a heel turn. 1. Roman Reigns Let’s start off with the obvious one, as a lot of people hated Roman Reigns for…
The reason why Excalibur hasn’t been on AEW Dynamite over the past couple of weeks. Is due to a promo that had racists words in it that what was unearthed from the past. In the wrestling company that Excalibar co-owned called Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. With AEW having a zero tolerance on racists and racism, something that most companies should have, his future in AEW did feel in jeopardy. There has been a update in the story though In the next AEW episode it has been confirmed by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. That Excalibur will be returning to his seat on…
With near to no information on what is happening with the first AEW game. We are going to have to speculate on which studio is working on it and what the game will actually be like. The speculation comes from the close connection with Kenny Omega with Capcom already as they collaborated on merchandise such as the Street Fighters wrestling t-shirts. Would it be a massive step to speculate that they could be working on a game together? The past wrestling collaboration Capcom, the studio behind the famous game Street Fighter have had a very small collaboration with the Bullet…
