According to reports, Christina was alleged to have pilfered the goods from none other than philanthropist Sydney Holland. This news was very disturbing in light of the following reasons.
First of all, Sydney is known for giving back to the community. Therefore, this move by Christina was seen as a huge breach of trust. Secondly, Christina had also apparently worked as an assistant and stylist for Sydney for a matter of 12 years.
As such, when Sydney realised that something was not right, she started to look into it. According to people within Sydney’s circle, she discovered that some of the items that were missing ended up going online for sale.
And that was the moment that she knew that Christina was potentially involved, as she would be one of the few people who could have such access to these items.
Accordingly, Christina was arrested and charged with theft, with a hearing set to go ahead in February next year. The response on social media was one of huge shock.
A large proportion of people could not fathom why someone would steal from a philanthropist. In addition, many people were left feeling disturbed about how someone could have breached the trust of someone that had looked out for Christina for so long.
The reaction had gotten so intense that a certain subset of people demanded that Christina should be cancelled in light of her behaviour.
One person on Twitter wrote: “I wonder what @Hooters she was working in when he met her,” while another stated: “Too old to be making childish mistakes.”
Regardless of what happens to Christina, it is clear that it will be extremely unlikely for her to return to a position of trust.
That will not only do her career damage, but it has also drawn negative attention to Cade, who had made a name for himself in the NFL. With that firmly in mind, time will tell what will happen going forward.
