During the 1990s, the “Hollywood Madam” Heidi Fleiss was the most well-known procurer in Los Angeles, hooking up her regular rich, powerful and famous clientele with her girls. She avoided prison time for pandering but was given seven years for tax evasion in 1996 but only served 20 months. The former madam will now be leaving Nevada after 15 years of living in Pahrump, Nevada.
Heidi Fleiss Bailing On Nevada After 15 Years
Now, Fleiss will now leave the state as a result of one of her parrots being shot with a pellet gun before Christmas. The pellet was removed by a vet and she issued a reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the shooter.

She resided in the Pahrump community—62 miles west of Las Vegas and just outside of the California-Nevada border—for the past 15 years where she had amassed a collection of exotic birds. In Nevada, she saw a lot of potential for not just a fresh start personally but business-wise. In the early 2000s, she aimed to open a brothel called “Heidi Fleiss’s Stud Farm” and managed to open a laundromat called “Dirty Laundry”.
The brothel idea was later nixed for unspecified reasons. During her life in the Silver State, she has had a couple of run-ins with the law and attempts at sobriety including treatment from Dr. Drew Pinsky.
Now, all of that time in Nevada will just be memories that ended on a sour note for Fleiss. Purchasing land in the Show Me State, Heidi Fleiss plans to move out to Missouri with her birds by the end of February. After two weeks, there have been no developments into the motivations of shooting of her prized bird nor has there been an arrest.
Whether Missouri will give Fleiss the same peace to raise her exotic birds in the same way that Nevada did for 15 years up until late December remains to be seen.
