The dragging of the children into the court begins when Amber Heard mentions Lily-Rose Depp’s name. She states that the actor told her that Johnny Depp could kill her for informing his kids about his recent comeback to using drugs and alcohol.
The event, as Amber Heard states, happens when she and Johnny Depp are cruising the Bahamas with Johnny’s boat while accompanying them are Depp’s two kids, Lily-Rose and Jack. After the cruise, Depp is about to sell the boat to J.K.Rowling, and that adds fuel to his normally fiery personality. Coupling with this is his constant alcohol intake during the cruise.

Known for his past with the alcohol, Depp is trying to hide the deed and according to Amber, he drinks it from coffee cups, so it looks like he is drinking coffee. She reveals this to Lily-Rose and Depp gets furious about it.
Knowing her father, and knowing Amber, Lily-Rose predicts the fight that is going to emerge. According to Heard, shortly after, Lily-Rose – then a teenager – bursts into tears, and the actress can do nothing more than to comfort her. Johnny gets jealous about their forming bond and that gets him even madder.
When the company leaves to their rooms, and Johnny goes to the bedroom with Amber, that’s when the expected happens. He attacks her and says that he could kill her.
Amber later files photos to the jury as proof of the violence and tries to build a strong case against Depp. Moreover, this is Heard’s say in the court hearing reflecting on the event while on the Bahamas trip.
“He slams me up against the sidewall. We were in the bedroom this whole time, up against the wall of the cabin. He slams me up by my neck. And holds me there for a second and tells me he could fucking kill me.”
However, Johnny Depp’s statements regarding the relationship between these two is much different than this. He states that his ex-wife and his daughter did not stand each other. Lily-Rose did not even want to be in the same room with her – yet less have Amber consolidating her.
In fact, Lily-Rose might be a pioneer in warning her father about his new wife.
So, the question is how does Lily-Rose feel now? Now, when Amber is taking the stand repeatedly and is trying to convince the public that they’ve had a great relationship? Heard constantly insists that she has a great relationship with Johnny’s kids. Moreover, she claims to have a strong bond with Lily-Rose. A bond that develops during the previously mentioned trip to the Bahamas. A trip that Lily-Rose left together with Amber with a helicopter mid-way.
She continues to ramble about how she is always protective of Johnny’s kids and never looks on them as not her own. However, when asked Lily-Rose might have something else to say.
Johnny himself, when taking the stand later on says that everything that Amber says is contradicting the evidence that he does have.
What makes Amber’s statements unbelievable, is the fact that even earlier in Lily’s life, she did not like her openly. She publicly refuses to attend Amber and Johnny’s wedding and fans claim that this is only due to her despise of Amber.
Everything aside, Lili-Rose is one of the first people who publicly defend Johnny Depp. Back in 2016, Heard requests restraining order against Johnny Depp. Almost immediately after hearing this, Lily-Rose shares an article stating that the police officers that were assigned to the case did not find any proof of domestic violence. Moreover, Heard refuses to cooperate with the police.
Lily-Rose Depp shares a childhood photo of her and her father on Instagram,. This is timely close to the DV event, and states – “My dad is the sweetest, most loving person I know. He’s been nothing but a wonderful father to my brother and me. Everyone who knows him would say the same.”
When asked about the relationship between Depp’s kids and Amber, Depp says: “Non-existent. My kids are far more intelligent than I am. They refuse to be around her.”
Furthermore, he speaks about that how Amber demands that he spends all his free time with her, alienating him from time with his kids.
“Amber had to have me there at all times for her own needs. She would tell me what a bad father I was and that I had no idea how to parent.” – he says.
Lily-Rose did not like Amber from the beginning. That alone should have been a sign to Johnny to take some measures. However, despite the red light being on, he continues his intentions.
Fans say that Johnny should have listened to his kids. If your kids do not get along with your partner, then you might want to rethink marrying her. There are always exceptions of course, but almost every time, your kids need to come first.
Depp should have been planning his actions through the prism of his kids’ views. If they are seeing something wrong with their partner, then obviously, he needs to re-think his actions.
Finally, regardless of who likes who, and who cannot stand who, the involvement of Johnny’s kids in the trial is something that Amber should have avoided.
The involvement increases the press’s attention to them by a considerable amount. And this only puts even greater pressure on them. Something that they do not need to go through while going through the divorce and the public trials of their father.
