Lies and false promises. That is the Duchess of Sussex. Paparazzi caught Meghan Markle boarding a private jet in Indianapolis on Tuesday. She flew back home, after attending a female empowerment conference.
Flying with a private jet is not something that would usually spark so much attention. However, in this case, it is special because Meghan Markle had previously promised that she would see to it that she and Prince Harry would achieve ‘net-zero’ emissions by 2030.
The Hypocrite Meghan Markle Who Pledged To Make Zero-Emissions By 2030 Seen Boarding A Private Jet AGAIN
A black SUV with tinted windows drove the Duchess to a hangar at the airport where she boarded her private jet flight. This is the same way that Meghan Markle arrived in Indianapolis as well. She landed just 4 hours before flying back.
An SUV transported her to the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana, where Meghan Markle held a lengthy speech. After she made her appearance she was fast to hop on a plane to get back to her home in California.
People brand Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as vocal environmental activists. They’ve made numerous appearances at various events, speaking about how important it is to reduce the emission of greenhouse gasses. They advocated for making renewables and other climate-friendly energy resources.
They advocated for reducing fossil fuel vehicles, lowering air traffic, etc. However, seems like all of that is only a mask that Meghan Markle puts on when speaking on the matter. When she is not being looked at she is fast to hop on a plane and break the promises she made on the ‘net-zero’ emission.
“As global leaders convene for COP26 to commit to solutions for our climate crisis, all of us at Archewell, led by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, share our pledge towards a more sustainable future by becoming net zero by 2030.” – Archewell’s statement from the United Nations climate summit reads.
“Our co-founders, Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have a long-standing commitment to the planet, both together and prior to their union, with global projects and partnerships dating back over a decade.”
Having this said, Archewell told that every person on the Earth should strive to reduce his share of the carbon footprint. Archewell suggests that everybody should give attention to the food he eats, and the preferred type of transportation. However, seems like the main players in this ‘game’ of environmental battle are not following their most basic principle.
“Achieving net-zero carbon emissions means making a series of choices. These changes over time to make the carbon footprint as small as possible while compensating for any remaining emissions through high-quality carbon removal projects.” – Archewell continued their statement.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very vocal when it comes to climate activism. On first look, it seems like they are quite active in their battle against global warming as well.
Prince Harry has always been concerned about the environment. In his name, there were numerous foundations and organizations that battle for a better tomorrow. One of those non-profit organizations is Travalyst. The organization works on researching ways to travel on more sustainable energy. Travalyst is focused on environmentally friendly investments.
“There is a ticking clock to protect our planet for ourselves and for future generations. With climate change, the deterioration of our natural resources, endangerment of sacred wildlife, the impact of plastics and microplastics, and fossil fuel emissions, we are jeopardizing this beautiful place we call home.” – the Duke and Duchess of Sussex told in 2019. “Let’s save it. Let’s do our part.”
When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped back from their royal duties and migrated to the United States, they pledged to dedicate themselves to addressing world problems such as climate change and environmental protection.
The royal couple went the distance and created a population growth control group, Population Matters, where they advocated for having fewer children. Prince Harry even pledged to have just two children, so their household will reduce their family’s carbon footprint.
“It’s a fantastically responsible and effective choice that Harry and Meghan have made. Particularly in a rich developed economy like the U.K. Choosing to have one less child is the most effective eco-action you can take.” – Robin Maynard said. “We have to look at our family size and consumption in the rich West. As well as helping to provide the means and power to make that choice to people in the developing world who may not currently be free to make it.” – the director of Population Matters added.
Nevertheless, the public brands Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as hypocrites. Claiming that they focus their work on the earth’s preservation while flying in private jets and driving SUVs, is hypocritical.
The world bashed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on the matter couple of times throughout their time in the USA. Each time they decide to fly to the UK on a private jet, they receive massive backlash. The real climate activists are not happy with the Duke and Duchess hopping on a jet plane as often as they do.
For example, last year they flew to the UK on a Bombardier Global 6000 plane. This is one of the largest and the most fuel-consuming airplanes today. During their trip, the private luxury plane emitted about 60 tons of carbon dioxide.
The Paris Agreement about global warming, the world needs to strive to keep global warming under 2 degrees. To do so, a person’s annual carbon budget should be a maximum of 2,1 tons per year. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should emit about 4.2 tons per year in the worst case. However, with this one jet plane trip only they surpassed the maximum by 15 times.
