Simone Biles is getting married. The Olympic gold medalist took to Instagram to announce that she is engaged to her NFL boo, Jonathan Owens. She said, “The easiest yes. I can’t wait to spend forever and ever with you. You are everything I dreamt of and more. Let’s get married, fiancé.”

The 24-year-old wrote alongside photos of Jonathan proposing in Gazebo in Houston Texas which featured a glimpse of her new oval diamond ring. Simone’s future hubby commented, he said, “Ready for forever with you” on her sweet post.

The Houston Texans player also shared the happy engagement news on his own Instagram account, writing, “Woke up this morning with a fiancé. She had no clue what was coming.” The pair first sparked romance speculation in summer 2020, and they confirmed their relationship in August of that year by posting a pair of pictures of each other on social media.
The two have been head over heels for one another ever since. Jonathan also won over Simone’s friends pretty quickly. Back in September, fellow Olympian Jordan Chiles said in an interview that she quickly gave Simone’s man her seal of approval.
She said, “When she first brought him to the house, um, I was just like yeah he’s a good one only because like our friendship like I just knew what she had gone through before him and I was just like no he’s a good one. I didn’t even have to do anything, he was like the nicest dude I’ve ever met I was just like bro like he was a cool one and then I found out he was a football player so I was like oh there we go, it’s even better like look at that right no yeah. I told her right like I want to say like three days after because I kind of wanted to give it a little time and I was like oh you found a good one and she was like oh thank you. Simone further added, “It’s also nice to have like a stamp of approval from friends and family because that’s who we’re gonna be around a lot, so that’s good.”
In an interview, Simone was asked if she took a little while before she introduced him to everybody. She said, “Um, a little bit but it was during the pandemic, so we kind of had that time to ourselves, see if you like each other and then like since we’re with each other days on end, it kind of works. So we did take a little bit of time.”
She was further asked if she started dating during the pandemic and how it worked for her. She replied, “Everything was closed, so we would just go to his house or my house and bring the dogs and he has a bulldog and I have two bulldogs so they all played and it was really like simple and easy, we kind of were just like magnets.”
