Cardi B, the former stripper turned rapper admitted that back in 2018 she paid money to a ‘friend’ to go to a strip club and beat up one of the employees. Allegedly, the rapper paid her friend $5000 to just enter the strip club and ‘beat up’ the bartender with whom Cardi B had a beef.
On Thursday, the rapper entered the courtroom and pleaded guilty to the crime. The controversial rapper entered the courtroom with her security guards and decided to plead guilty to get out of the situation with only a financial fine. It most certainly suited her better than doing some prison time. The assaults made were from third and second degrees. A third-degree assault and a second-degree reckless endangerment.

While exiting the courtroom, as expected, media persons approached Cardi B and asked her how she feels about the charges. Without hesitation the rapper confirmed that she ‘feels as good as she looks’ referring to the fact that she was dressed in a tight white-colored dress, looking stunning.
Cardi B received three-year protection and the court ordered her to take part in 15 days of community service. While at the strip club, Cardi B tried to hurt the bartender not only with her fists but also by throwing objects at them. The reason behind the fight is that one of the bartenders allegedly slept with Cardi B’s husband.
Finally, the rapper pleaded guilty to attacking the bartender at the strip club. He hit her, pulled her hair, and smashed her head onto the bar. The bartender suffered a mild concussion and numerous bruises across her body.
“No one is above the law. In pleading guilty today, Ms. Belcalis Almanzar and two co-defendants have accepted responsibility for their actions.” – Melinda Katz, the Queen’s district attorney said.
Before entering the court on Thursday, Cardi told the media that she is feeling good. For the same case in 2020, the rapper rejected a plea agreement. She claimed she attacked the bartenders to simply go on with her life.
“There are too many things that she has planned for her family, for her career, and for the community. She just felt, quite honestly, that a three-week jury trial was going to be a distraction. A distraction from the things that she felt were most important. Hence, we made contact with the prosecution.” – Cardi B’s lawyer Drew Findling told about the plea.
Cardi B became famous after her hit piece Bodak Yellow topped billboard charts. It became more popular than most hip-hop songs in 2018. Cardi B’s fans are obviously happy with the plea as they cheered her and praised her while she exited the courtroom.
“In all my years of covering court cases, I’ve never seen this.” – Melissa Colorado, NBC reporter said on Twitter. “Court staff cheering for a defendant who accepted a plea deal as she walks out of the courtroom.”
