Earlier tonight, we’d catch up with the locker room with a TikTok from Sol Ruca. She was dancing for a trend on the app, but caught a backstage altercation between Edris Enofe & Malik Blade and Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen. Enofe & Blade would claim they’re sick of being good guys – and tonight we have a tag team clash.
Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen Run Through Edris Enofe & Malik Blade
With Oddysey Jones in their corner, Blade & Enofe had a new found swagger in their step – and Enofe would jump right on Jensen for some punches as the match began. Blade would hit the ring and tried to float over Jensen in the corner, and was nearly caught with a powerslam before slipping free and hitting the dropkick. Jensen would drop Blade with a swinging facebuster, before joining Briggs for punches to the face.
Briggs would tag in briefly, as Arianna Grace would come to ringside and slip an envelope into the jacket of Jensen, stamped by Kiana James. Back in the ring, Enofe would nail a knee to the face and a flying elbow drop on Jensen for a two count. More happenings at ringside with Jones getting into a brawl with Wagner, before Briggs & Jensen hit the High/Low for the win.
Three Ladies Look To Advance To Deadline
When choosing names for the female Iron Survivor Challenge – it was hard. The NXT Women’s division has been growing rapidly, and Shawn Michaels and his Hall of Fame panel were only able to decide on four names. Tonight, three more get a chance to qualify – as Fallon Henley, Indi Hartwell & Wendy Choo all have a chance to punch their ticket to NXT Deadline. Jensen would open the envelope, saying it was VIP tickets from James – which just sent Henley to the ring in a foul mood.
Hartwell would strike first, catching Choo & Henley with scoop slams. Choo & Henley worked together to strike Hartwell down with a double dropkick, as Toxic Attraction watched on. Hartwell would corner both opponents for lariats, before being shoved to the mat and kicked in the face.
Choo & Henley traded blows in the middle of the ring, before Choo would look for the Naptime Elbow – missing Henley before taking a sliding dropkick. Hartwell broke a pinfall up, before running Henley down with a kick on the floor. Choo was taken into a double arm clutch in the ring, with Henley helping her free before a pinfall for two.
Indi Hartwell Doesn’t Let The Moment Slip Away
Henley would be set up for the Vader Bomb in the corner, with Hartwell tripping Choo up and slinging Henley into her as she hung in the Tree of Woe. Choo would kick her way free, before Henley dropped her with a lariat. Jumping back elbow caught both opponents before a running neckbreaker to Hartwell got a two count.
Hartwell would be dropped with a back elbow to the face before Choo launched Henley with a belly to belly suplex. Choo would be planted with a spinebuster from Hartwell for a two count. Hartwell set up a superplex in the corner on Choo, before Henley tore them all down with a Tower of Doom.
Choo would spike Henley with a brainbuster, with Henley showing serious guts by kicking out. A top rope vader bomb would be normally enough to end it, but Hartwell threw Choo from the ring. Henley took a sliding elbow smash, and Hartwell is going to Deadline.
The Grayson Waller Effect Ahead Of NXT Deadline
With NXT Deadline a few days away, and an NXT Championship match on the line in the Iron Survivor Challenge – Grayson Waller has no time to waste getting into the heads of his opponents. He’s invited Joe Gacy, Carmelo Hayes, JD McDonagh and Axiom to a special episode of The Grayson Waller effect. There’s very few times this hasn’t ended up in a brawl, and with his lineup of names in the ring – that seems as likely as ever.
After running down the rules and saying it’s rare you get to be part of a first time ever match, Waller would say they’re linked together forever after this. He’d introduce (and insult them) one by one, getting little reaction from anyone for his insults. The chat would offer a question, what advantage people have.
Waller claimed he’s got experience as a Survivor, being on a season of Australian Survivor. Hayes would say he was the top pick for this match, knowing what it takes to be a survivor in title matches. JD would bring up that Hayes has a bad record in a five man situation, but Hayes said he’s also proven to be able to go 25 minutes without breaking a sweat.
JD would say that Hayes has been protected since the moment he walked into the company, and that he will be drained by the end – unlike JD. Waller would say he can win in less than 25 minutes, with Hayes saying he can’t go 25 minutes anywhere.
A Brawl Breaks Out
Gacy would get a chance to speak, saying that when the stakes are high – people trample each other. He knows everyone will act differently in a chaotic match like this, and he’s a master of reading people. Axiom claimed his ability to adapt on the fly will be one of the key factors in him winning, and he’d like to enter first or second to get more time to gain points.
He’d even offer to start with JD, saying 25 minutes isn’t long enough to put punishment on the man who injured him. JD would say he’s ready to injure Axiom again, and Gacy would say to please do it again. Gacy wants the fourth spot – wanting to take advantage of the weak. He will put them in the penalty box and let them watch as fate steps away.
Hayes would say that both Gacy & JD had their shot to be NXT Champion, each losing twice. No one wants it more than him, and he intends to prove that at Deadline. Things broke down into a brawl, as the show went off the air.
