All Elite Wrestling brings us another episode of AEW Dynamite! I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer, here to give you the full coverage as always! Below, you’ll be able to see the results of every match, and links to recap of each segment moments after they conclude! Watch this space!
Segment 1: We began with the tag team battle royal which saw ten teams square off for a shot at the AEW World Tag Team titles at AEW Revolution. Early on, Matt Jackson found himself alone as Nick was taken out, forcing Matt to fight from underneath. But in the end, he was able to last eliminate Santana & Ortiz to get the victory for the Young Bucks.
Segment 2: The second bout of the night on AEW Dynamite saw Kris Statlander take on Shanna, a regular on AEW Dark who tends to impress when she gets the chance. They fought hard in a solid match, where Statlander ended up taking the victory, continuing building momentum.
Segment 3: Nyla Rose comes out for a victory speech after defeating Riho for the AEW World Women’s Championship last week. Kris Statlander and Big Swole come out to confront her as she boasts.
Segment 4: This brings us to a major match as Jon Moxley takes on Jeff Cobb in a singles bout, Cobb’s AEW debut! Cobb is of course a hired mercenary that Le Champion Chris Jericho is siccing on Mox. Mox got the victory, sneaking in a cradle after being hit with a Deadlift Superplex! The Inner Circle swarm on him immediately but Dustin Rhodes and a returning Darby Allin makes the save!
AEW Dynamite rolls on…
Segment 5: Tag titles on the line as Kenny Omega and Hangman Page defend the gold against the Lucha Bros! It’s a crazy clash as to be expected, and miscommunication almost costs the champs but they just barely get the victory! That means it will officially be Hangman Page & Kenny Omega vs. the Young Bucks at AEW Revolution!
Segment 6: That leaves just the main event left, the first-ever steel cage match in AEW’s history between Cody and Wardlow, where if Cody loses, his match with MJF at AEW Revolution is cancelled. It’s a physical battle filled with storytelling, with Cody being busted open early, Wardlow being an absolute unstoppable monster and MJF having to be dealt with by Arn Anderson and Brandi Rhodes! After Wardlow kicked out of the Cross-Rhodes, Cody had to go to another level. He scaled the top of the very tall cage for a crazy moonsault and that got the win!
