Ladies and gentlemen, Friday Night SmackDown is upon us! Expect all the Quick Hits here tonight, recap and results of the show as they come!
Segment 1: Roman Reigns and the Usos opened up the show to call out King Corbin and company. The heels emerged to continue railing on Roman for getting showered in dogfood. So Reigns made the challenge for tonight, to add a special stipulation to their six-man tag team match: tonight, we’re finally getting Loser Eats Dogfood.
Segment 2: John Morrison and The Miz def. Heavy Machinery, The Revival and the Lucha House Party in a fatal four way tag team match. As a result, they will be facing the New Day at Super Show-Down for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships.
Segment 3: Otis Dozovic finally asks Mandy out and she agrees to have a date with him on Valentine’s Day. Tag team match pitting Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross against Fire & Desire saw Blisscross get the win. It’s implied they will be facing the Kabuki Warriors after that win.
Segment 4: After a good few months of build, Braun Strowman challenged Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. In spite of constant interference from Sami Zayn and Cesaro, Strowman ultimately managed to turn it around on them, slamming Nakamura’s face into an exposed turnbuckle before planting him with a Running Powerslam for the win. This marks Strowman’s first-ever singles championship.
Segment 5: Furious from the IC title loss, Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro are fuming when Elias interrupts them from the ring with a little guitar performance. After several repetitions of this bit, Sami sent Cesaro to the ring to deal with him. However Elias took the advantage and drove him from the ring. Then, Sheamus defeated Shorty G, again pretty cleanly, likely ending the feud.
Segment 6: Bayley came out to run down the vision as always and try and bait Charlotte to appear but instead out came Naomi. A brawl began but Naomi laid out the champion.
Segment 7: In the main event, Roman Reigns and the Usos defeated King Corbin, Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler in a six-man tag team match, as a result Corbin was showered in dogfood.
