When Isla Dawn would cost Alba Fyre the NXT Women’s Championship by shoving her off the top of the ladder in a Last Woman Standing match – it might as well have been a declaration of war. Having previously clashed in NXT UK, Dawn & Fyre are no strangers to each other – but this time around, they’re more determined to rip each other apart than ever before.

Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn Meet In Grudge Match

Fyre would quickly take this one to the floor, tackling Dawn through the ropes and throwing her into the announce desk. A sliding flatliner in the ring would set up the Koji Clutch – with Dawn shifting into a pinfall to get free. Dawn would hit a backbreaker before exposing the middle turnbuckle.

An air raid crash would be blocked into a roll up, before Dawn would hit the running double knee strike for the near fall. Fyre would be caught in the ropes, where Dawn would choke her out. Dawn came off the top rope with a flying knee drop, before being sent to the floor.

Fyre would hit a springboard dive to the floor, wiping Dawn out. Back in the ring, they’d trade blows before Fyre would hit the Gordbuster, setting up some stiff kicks to the chest. Fyre would hit a tornado DDT for a near fall, before Dawn came back with a backdrop driver – clearly have learned from her clashes with Meiko Satomura in NXT UK.

Dawn would be sent to the floor once again, with Fyre keeping the pressure on with a dive. Fyre Bomb would land on the floor, before Dawn was rolled back into the ring. Dawn had just enough time to recover, and was able to kick out in the ring. Swanton Bomb would follow, but Dawn had cursed the referee – making him unable to count the pinfall.

Another referee hit the ring, as Dawn would ram Fyre into the exposed turnbuckle before The Final Cut for the victory. A statement win for Isla Dawn,

Pretty Deadly Have Beaten The Best NXT Has To Offer, But Not The Best WWE Have

When Pretty Deadly declared they’ve beaten everyone when it comes to the NXT tag team division, few would disagree. They truly have beaten all the top teams, but not every team in WWE. The New Day would make a shocking appearance on the latest episode of NXT, crashing the Pretty Deadly Christmas story and calling out the champions for a shot. One of the most decorated teams in WWE history, The New Day have never held the NXT Tag Team Championships – and that might change here tonight.

Xavier Woods would kick things off with Kit Wilson, hitting a stiff chop in the corner before being dropped with a shoulder tackle. Pretty Deadly would hit a double shoulder tackle, before Kofi Kingston hit the ring and had a twerk off with Elton Prince. Prince would lose to Kingston, before running into a dropkick.

Woods & Kingston would run Prince down with a fast series of moves, before Wilson got the tag and was overwhelmed just as fast. Wilson would be thrown to the floor, with Prince blocking Kingston from a dive before taking a dropkick – with Kingston then diving onto both halves of Pretty Deadly. Back into the ring, Pretty Deadly would manage to isolate Kingston in their corner.

Kofi Kingston Become A 15x Tag Team Champion In WWE

Kingston would be able to hit a DDT to Wilson, getting the opening for the tag to Woods. Woods was ready to go and would drop Prince with a rolling elbow smash. Pretty Deadly would try to work together in beating Woods down, only for Wilson to be sent to the floor and Prince to the middle rope before a sliding dropkick over the back of Prince before a DDT in the ring for a near fall.

Woods & Prince would trade blows in the middle of the ring, with Woods winning out with a back elbow before having his knee stomped and dropped with a lariat to the back of the head. Pretty Deadly set up a tag team Codebreaker, before Prince brought the NXT Tag Team Championships into the ring. Everyone would pretend to have been hit with the belts, before Wilson would actually hit Woods in the face.

Kingston would block the Spilled Milk attempt, before hitting trouble in Paradise on the floor. Back in the ring, The New Day nailed the Up Up Down Down, and this match was over – giving us new NXT Tag Team Champions. This pushes Kofi Kingston to 15 reigns as tag team champion in WWE, beating Edge & Booker T’s record of 14.
