AEW Dynamite is on tonight. Below you will see the results from the show as they come, plus links to in-depth recaps.
Segment 1: In the first segment, out came Jake Roberts and Lance Archer open the show to talk about what they’ve done last week. Jake of course refused to apologize for what he did to Brandi Rhodes last week. Instead he ran down how women shouldn’t be in wrestling and how he and Archer do whatever they want. Cody eventually interrupted him by driving his SUV into the arena and brawling with Archer. Eventually Jake managed to force Archer to stop fighting and they backed off up the ramp, leaving it inconclusive.
Segment 2: In the first match of the night, the Jurassic Express made their return to Dynamite to take on the Best Friends. During the match, Rey Fenix attacked Orange Cassidy at ringside. The distraction for the ref allowed MJF to sneak attack Jungleboy which ended up costing him the match. To cap it all off, Wardlow assaulted Marko Stunt and they again teased the hoss battle between him and Luchasaurus.
Segment 3: In a fatal four way match implied to be for an AEW Women’s World Championship opportunity, Hikaru Shida defeated Penelope Ford, Britt Baker and Kris Statlander.
Segment 4: In what was basically a brawl from start to finish, Kenny Omega and Matt Hardy defeated Santana and Ortiz.
Segment 5: MJF made his return to the ring against Lee Johnson. He brought a really brutal edge to this match, much moreso than usual and really destroyed the guy before getting the easy win. He then said he needed a tune up match before he faced Jungleboy and so he signed for a match next week with Marko Stunt!
Segment 6: Chris Jericho defeated Pineapple Pete in short order, then challenged the Elite to meet the Inner Circle to a Stadium Stampede match – a battle in a football stadium! Vanguard 1 flies in to accept but they attack it with a baseball bat.
Segment 7: In the main event, Brodie Lee defeated Christopher Daniels. Afterwards came Jon Moxley who ran through a few of his followers as Brodie rushed away from the ring. Mox got on the mic and informed Brodie that at Double or Nothing his AEW career might be over before it even starts.
