WWE Money In The Bank 2020 is on now! Below you’ll see the results from the show as they come, plus links to in-depth recaps!
Kickoff Show: Jeff Hardy defeated Cesaro in a pretty solid match.
Segment 1: In the opening match of the main card, The New Day defended their WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships against the Forgotten Sons, Lucha House Party and the duo of Miz & Morrison. Similar to the teaser match a couple of days ago this thing was a mile-a-minute battle, and an extremely well executed one too. In the end the New Day retained their titles.
Segment 2: In the next match, R-Truth was set to go up against MVP when Bobby Lashley surprisingly emerged to replace MVP, telling him to take the night off. Lashley then quickly demolished R-Truth and got the victory.
Segment 3: Bayley defended her WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship against Tamina. The challenger had the win until Sasha Banks came into the ring to distract her. After chasing her around the ring, Bayley ended up getting her with a Crucifix Cradle for the victory.
Segment 4: Bray Wyatt challenged Braun Strowman for the WWE Universal Championship. The match was one filled with story-telling as one would expect, with Bray constantly begging Braun to join him. In the end, Braun came up wearing his black sheep mask to trick Bray into thinking he’d been convinced. But it was of course a trick and Strowman hit him with the Running Powerslam to get the victory and retain the title.
Segment 5: Next up, Drew McIntyre defended his WWE Championship against Seth Rollins. It was far better than any Empty Arena match with no frills should be, and in the end McIntyre defeated Rollins to retain the title. Afterwards he offered a handshake and Rollins accepted.
Segment 6: In the main event we saw the Men’s and Women’s Money In The Bank ladder matches going on simultaneously as they all raced up WWE Headquarters. It was a pretty wacky journey up to the top, where King Corbin threw Rey Mysterio and Aleister Black off the roof only for us to never see them again, leaving us to assume they are dead. In the end, Otis & Asuka walked away with their respective briefcases.
