Hello and welcome to OVW TV 1136 Results!

We’re continuing the road to OVW Defiance with some more fun matches and The Country Boy Kentucky Heavyweight Championship Tournament, so let’s get to the action!

The show once again started off with a ten bell salute to New Jack, who passed away recently.

Shannon the Dude argued with someone on the phone as he tried to find a manager for his match against Big Rex. We’re so looking forward to that one.

The Country Boy Kentucky Heavyweight Championship Tournament – “The Rock Star” Ryan Howe w/Drew Franklin defeated Gustavo w/Steve Romines by pinfall

This should be a great matchup, so we’re buckling up.

The match was a even match early on as they felt each other out until Gustavo’s athleticism gave him an early edge.

Howe took over thanks to his power, but he allowed himself to be distracted by Romines a couple of times to give Gustavo a chance.

Howe survived to hit a neckbreaker for the pinfall win,

The Country Boy Kentucky Heavyweight Championship Tournament Triple Threat – “The Indian Lion” Mahabali Shera defeated “Superior” Tony Evans (pin) and AJ Cazana

Both went after Shera to start it off, and he quickly took control before the numbers game caught up with him.

Shera’s size and power helped him take control as he body slammed Evans onto Cazana, and then hit a pop up power bomb on Evans for the win.

The Good Word with Reverend Ronnie Roberts

After welcoming us to his show, Roberts introduced “Shotgun” Tony Gunn.

Roberts asked him about his drama and problems he’s been having with his matches and how Kal Herro is getting special treatment.

Gunn said he was going to be calm and respectful, and he dropped money in the collection plate for some prayers for Kal Herro.

He told Herro that he’s only still there because his dad’s friends with Al Snow, and Snow chimed in over the phone as he couldn’t be there.

Snow said he’s shown no preferential treatment, and said Gunn feels threatened and scared and he wants to make Herro quit. He added Herro’s not a licensed wrestler but a OVW employee.

Snow wished Gunn and Jessie Godderz luck in their tag title defense against the Tate Twins at Defiance.

Arie Alexander and Ellie defeated Lilith Grim and Dani Mo

This should be a fun one as they’ve been impressive in OVW so far.

Grim and Dani Mo struggled to get on the same page early on, but they held their own before Arie hit a face buster on Dani Mo and Grim hit Arie with her mask for a DQ.

Grimm took out both women, and Dani tried to calm her down and ate a clothesline. Grimm then piled all three in the middle of the ring.

The Country Boy Kentucky Heavyweight Championship Tournament – Shannon the Dude w/ Adam Revolver defeated Big Rex w/Teddy Abrams and “Hollywood” Adam Swayze by pinfall

It’s great to see Adam Revolver back. Things just became even more interesting. Shannon called out the news that only one manager can be at ringside and made Swayze leave ringside.

Revolver attacked Rex from behind, and Rex knocked him down with one right and Shannon then escaped to the floor.

Rex ran into a Revolver clothesline to no effect and he bounced Revolver off the ring apron. Shannon begged for mercy as Revolver broke a trombone on Rex’s back, and Rex broke him with a cutter.

Gunn attacked Rex from behind with a low blow and Rex fell back with Shannon on top for the pin.

We knew Shannon would pull out some trick or three.

Test of Brutality – Omar Amir defeated “Hood Ninja” Hy Zaya w/Josh Ashcraft by pinfall

Ca$h Flo came out to join the commentary team for the match, and said if Amir can get through the Trial of Brutality Ca$h will let him name his stipulation.

Amir caught Hy Zaya’s kick and hit a T-Bone suplex to start it off and send Hy Zaya to regroup.

Hy Zaya took advantage of Ashcraft’s distractions of Amir to hit a backstabber to gain the upper hand, and then a pump kick after Amir tried a comeback.

Amir’s next comeback gained steam as he hit several moves, and then he caught Hy Zaya’s crossbody to hit an Island Time for the win and to move onto the next Trial of Brutality.

Big Zo attacked Amir from behind and hit a Zo Slam and Vader Bomb on Amir. These two will face each other at Defiance for round 2 of the Trials of Brutality.

This was a fun show and we can’t wait to see what’s coming next. What did you think of it? Let us know in the comments below and thank you for joining OVW TV 1136 Results.

We had a great time and can’t wait to see you all next week. See you then!
